The crunching of footsteps against the ground as leaves had been littered from the tree’s due to the dry season on the island and a chill moved across the island as many festivities were now dying down But the spooky feeling still held its hold amongst all the dinosaurs on the islands with them be weary about their surroundings still and the swamp was a place that Definitely had a fear factor to it during this time more than normal but that didn’t stop curious dinosaurs from exploring them.

Ripples across the dark water that had only been about leg deep moved as two sets of eyes glew in the darkness followed by laughter as the two figures stopped before speaking.

“I thought you knew where you were going, Cove? We are so lost I don’t know why I followed you, you don’t even know where your own tail is sometimes” Honey said who was a pale sandy colored sucho as she followed behind her friend Cove who looked back in annoyance as he mocked her.

“Yes I know where I’m going will you shut it, plus your breath smells like fish” he said playfully back to honey who didn’t take the joke lightly from Cove, the young male sucho always getting the two lost or in trouble. The two had always wanted to explore the swamps when it was close to the fright nights on the island. It always upped the scare factor for them and that is what the two were after even if it meant walking through a thick fog and mud to get their fix.

Little did the two curious suchos know that things lurked in the dark of the swamps but that was yet to cross their paths as Cove stopped to look around trying to figure out what way to go shaking his head as bugs buzzed around him before he spotted a large cave off in the fog which also was on a small land that hadn’t been taken over by swamp water.

“Look Cove can we go to that cave we can test there anr figure out where we are since you got us lost” Honey yelled out before pushing past him and making her way to the land finally out of the cold water as she cleaned off her scales the best she could before looking at the entrance of the cave.

The two finally found their way on land as Cove looked at the entrance that almost looked like a mouth with sharp rocks hanging down at the front kinda looked like a mouth that was lying in wait to fall closed, it was dark and wet but that didn’t stop the two from entering with Honey in the lead and Cove not far behind her.

“Wow look at this cave this thing is huge , I’m sure a big acro could fit in here Cove. Maybe you weren’t so lost after all we should go deeper!” Honey said before walking ahead and sniffing the puddles that formed on the cave floor due to the swampy biome it was in, with Cove trailing behind and not too keen on the idea as it made him feel off but instead of complaining he followed Honey keeping his head low.

“Are you sure we should go further im all up for exploring but this place gives me the creeps“  he shuddered from his jaws before catching up to Honey who had already made up her mind, but from the darkness many eyes watched the movement of the suchos moving in the shadows it almost felt as if the walls were alive.

The deeper the two got the more of being watched grew for them with each of their steps slowing down before they entered the belly of the cave with it almost being pitch black and Honey coming to a stop “Don’t touch my tail Cove it’s not funny” she said before looking back to see Cove not near her which made her freeze instantly with Cove coming to a stop as well before mumbling a bit “That wasn't mean Honey stop messing around” he said before seeing red eyes light up in the dark and small hisses echoing from all around them.

“ eye eyeee’s Honey, we should should leave” Cove said as he backed away slowly away from the eyes with Honey now doing the same, the now felt of being watched was a reality for the two as the pair began to hiss in fear before running out of the cave with a flurry of backs chasing them as Cove and Honey screamed in fear.

“I told you this was a bad idea! Those are bats run!” Cove said running forwards with Honey who was quick to follow and didn’t look back as the bats swarmed off leaving the two to catch their breath before pushing one another and deciding maybe it was time to leave the swamp.
