It had been a rough few seasons for the parasaur herds on the island with many of them moving around often and not sticking to one area but with the end of a tough season, a new season of nesting was around the corner and the parasaur herd was in a uproar as many of the bulls were showing off as the parasaur herd had stopped in a grassy area to rest for a few days from the harsh journey they had just done. Among the large parasaur herd was Arizona a young female parasaur who had just grown into her adult years and she was getting used to the movement of her herd and still learning the parasaur way and she was a little confused as to why the bulls were acting different but she wasn’t usually interested as most became rowdy and somewhat of a annoyance.

With a small sigh she watched from afar as many of the other females gave into the bulls but Arizona had her eyes on a certain bull who was much quieter and he went by the name of Malika and the two always traveled and played with one another when they were much smaller which always made her smile but he always seemed different then the others which caught her interest.

“I wonder where Malika is, I haven’t seen him around, probably catching up at the back of the herd” Arizona said to herself as she smiled softly before standing up and stretching her legs from the long journey and she was off to find Malika. As Arizona walked along the herd who was still catching up to the main body she looked around waiting to spot the pale scales he spotted. Malika had been traveling at the back of the herd and was still catching up as he kept to himself mostly trying to ignore all the other bulls and all that was on his mind was Arizona as he smiled when he thought about her before he lifted his head seeing her brown scales and blue eyes as she seemed to be looking for him, which made him feel hot as he quickened his pace to meet up with her before hearing her bellow his name.

“Malika there you are , I have been waiting for you to catch up always at the back of the herd aren’t you” Arizona said in a cheerful way as she trotted up to him before brushing up against him playfully. Malika smiled as he watched Arizona approach which switched his mood before he gave a smile and small laugh before his face getting red due to the feeling of her against him as the two walked side by side before splitting off from the herd as the back had finally caught up.

Malika sticking close to Arizona as she was chatting off to herself with the pale bull becoming nervous as he watched many other bulls courting other females of the herd and Malika became more nervous as he had wanted to ask Arizona if she wanted to be his mate for the season but he never had the nerve to ask her but he knew he needed to soon or she would be impressed by other bull’s and he wouldn’t have a chance so he kept quiet trying to gain the courage.  

“Let's go down to the creek Malika, I wanna show you something” Arizona said smiling as she walked ahead before looking back at Malika and hurrying him along, as the two made their way to the creek with Arizona in the lead as they walked together eating the green grass and playing with one another by the water as Malika chased behind her letting out laughs and smiles with the two coming to a stop as Arizona looked at him.

“So what did you want to show me, out here it seems a little hidden away” Malika said before looking around and still following behind Arizona who was keeping quiet but giggling “It’s this way come follow me your going to love it and I worked super hard on it” which made him follow her and roll his eyes his nervousness going away as he was with her , it always went away when he was with her.

“Oh I am sure i’ll love it, you are pretty good at surprises” Malika said before seeing a hidden area come into view which seemed to look like a large mound that had been carved out, his eyes became wide as he was trying to figure out what she had made, was it a nest? But why would she make a random one? Swallowing hard he kept following as he stopped when she did.

“Do you like it? , I worked super hard on it. I think it will hold up for the eggs” Arizona said, looking at Malika with a bright smile as she leaned down picking up some foliage to add to the nest, waiting to see Malika’s reaction waiting for an answer. Malika approached slowly as he looked around the large mound and nodded slightly before looking at Arizona before speaking “This is for us? You mean with me” he said, stuttering slightly before feeling the warm embrace of her neck around his before hearing her say a soft yes to him which made him relax and let out a smile before speaking “I love it Arizona, it’s perfect”.

The new couple now embracing one another as they exchanged head bows and looking over their new nest that would be full in a few days to come, but now the two wanted to add more foliage to it so the hatchlings that were to come would be protected and they weren’t to far from the herd but close enough, Arizona and Mailkia worked on their nest adding all types of foliage they could find to make it the perfect and best for their eggs, the new pair now staring at the mound that was full of green leaves and other soft plant life. Giving eachother one final embrace before laying down next to it and watching the herd and many others creating their nests in the next couple days they would be busy but now all they had to do was wait.
