[Trade] Easy Catch Right? (Age-ups for: DeadBite & Viperess)

The sound of grumbling echoed from beneath the scales , keeping a well fed diet was of importance and going without food and letting hunger eat you. It was never a good idea but that was the harsh reality of the world and a reality some knew more than others. Small footprints left in the sand as small figures dashed across the sand with the much smaller figure of the two catching up. DeadBite and Viperess had been abandoned at their nest by their mother in their early stage of hatching but the two defied all odds and were surviving but barely.

“Come on DeadBite you would think you would be quicker with how hunger you were, I think I saw some of the dune mice take off this way” Said Viperess who was much bigger between the two with her scales being brown and nothing like her sister who spotted vibrant scales and who was much smaller between them. DeadBite catching up before narrowing her eyes before shaking off the sandy dust from her face as she growled at Viperess “We just run all the time, their better be food over here, last time you lied” she said before taking off ahead of Viperess as they now were on the trail of the dune mouses that left footprints behind as they also were out looking for food.

The dunes was a harsh place with cracked ground from the harsh sun but it was a prime spot to hunt small game for the young cryo’s who were trying to learn how to hunt and provide for themselves but it seemed to be a challenge more than they thought. As they followed the footprints it came to a large pile of white bones that provided a spot for the mice to hide but it wasn’t impossible to move around the pile.

As Viperess kept herself low to the ground as DeadBite joined her their eyes locked on the small movements of the mice who scattered around the bone pile looking for food as the stomach growls from the young cryo’s grew louder.

“Go quietly and scare them towards me out of that pile Dead Bite, but be careful to not do it too quickly” said Viperess getting into position as she waited for Dead Bite to put their plan into play it was the first hunt the two had ever set up and it was going well so far. Dead Bite kept herself low to the ground as she crept closer and closer as she looked back checking in with Viper who nodded at her movements as she was now within striking range and their attack was almost ready; it was now just waiting for the perfect moment to spring their plan into action.

With a quick movement Dead bite pounced towards the bone pile and chased the many mice that now were scurrying across the sandy ground as she chased them towards Viperess who now had joined in the chase of the small mammals, with many missed bites as the two hunters who weren’t well practiced struggled to keep up and themselves in pace with the quick critters.

“This way Dead bite chase them towards me not away from me, they are too quick we have to trap them” Viperess said as she stopped making the small ones turn around towards Dead Bite who now also moved them into one area back towards Viperess.

The small mammals now running right into the trap that the young cryo’s had set as Dead Bite leaned down snatching a few in her jaws as the ones who missed the jaws before running right into Viperess who also snatched them small critters who weren’t lucky enough to dodge her. 

“We caught them Viper look!” Dead Bite said as she smiled with many more mice in her jaws with small blood splotches splattered across the ground beneath them. The two young cryo’s shared various hunting skills they wanted to show off one another, as more mice ran out of the pile Viperess caught more with Dead bite giving chase before scooping them in her jaws with the little creatures giving a fight but it wasn’t any match to the sharp teeth the two sported after awhile they slowed down as more mice made their escape with the now full young cryo’s laying down in the dirt before looking around as Dead Bite chewed and nawed on bones of their prey.

It was the first time the two ever had hunted before with being so young but usually you were taught at a young age but being abandoned before they hatched Dead bite and Viper could only rely on one another and that meant learning the hard way but it seemed to be working out for the pair of sisters so far and they would need to learn to hone their skills further as they grew but for now the small game was perfect for them to hunt even if they weren’t perfect at it all that mattered as they caught it.

“I thought hunting was going to be much harder than that. It seemed easy, a couple fumbles but it worked out, what do you think Dead Bite?” Viperess said looking over at her sister who was cleaning the bones clean as they had been hungry for days. The much smaller cryo looking at Viperess before nodding “I think if we get the hang of it we will be able to hunt those parasaur herds in no time, that's if we make it to that size” She said before laughing at Viperess’s unimpressed facial expression.

After having their fill they laid down for a bit to get their energy back for their next trek into the harsh world but with food on the table and a hunt under their belt the two sisters would grow into powerful adults or well they could hope, full belies was the first step to learning and they had done well only time would tell.
