Footsteps echoed through the now empty hallways of the abandoned facility, heavy claws stepping and dragging on the cold tile marking its presence in the place. Its being was only visible through the dim, vibrant artificial light, with protruding fangs and yellow eyes. Its black, spotted fur took on a greenish color thanks to the reflection of the light, but it didn't bother him, this way he blended in better with the gloomy environment. The cautious Anteosaurus continued exploring and searching for something consumable, anything, it was capable of swallowing anything that would calm its already insistent appetite. He wasn't a fussy being either, after all, he couldn't afford to be. In his search for something, clumsily biting and opening furniture with his teeth and claws, his ear picks up a dull sound, muffled by the walls, it seems to be from a metal shelf that fell on the other side of the facility.

—Are you okay?— A soft growl echoed around the place. The dark-furred animal felt like something much bigger than him. But he didn't care, he was too hungry and his stomach was clamoring for food. He was willing to fight to satisfy his appetite no matter who or what his adversary was. He was confident in himself and usually emerged victorious from all his encounters.

—Hey, you should be more careful!— Another growl resounds, it was a very distinctive screech. “Cryolophosaurus.” The predator thought. Those dinosaurs were quite abundant everywhere, very annoying, loud and arrogant due to their population number. His nostrils give a snort before turning the corner and finding the scene before him.

In front of him is a spacious room with a large double metal door at the back, it is dented with a large blow mark near the center, a kind of cold mist comes out from between its dent. The room has several tables, shelves and metal furniture. If you look, you might notice your own reflection in them. Next to the fallen shelf was one of those common Cryolophosaurus, its plumage is brown and varies from dark to light colors, in a gradient that ended in a chocolate color at the tip of its limbs. At his side was one of the largest creatures on the islands, an Acrocanthosaurus, its white scales standing out among the faint green ones. The three animals held each other's gaze, alert and wary of the stranger in front of them, creating a tense atmosphere.

The largest was about to say something, showing a row of serrated teeth in its large jaws when it was interrupted by the smaller figure. —Are you hungry?— The largest looked at him incredulously, sometimes the smaller figure's excessive trust in strangers used to get on his nerves. You couldn't trust anyone. Much less when prey is scarce in winter and you could possibly be one of them.

The Anteosaurus just watches, says nothing and remains alert. It's clearly distrustful of the duo, especially the largest one. For Morpheus' sake! One single mistake and he would already be crushed by that row of teeth. It was too late to turn around, he had its attention and vice versa.

—We’re trying to open this thing. Can you help us?— The smaller one spoke again. The cold mist was still coming out from between the dented door, now that he noticed it. A tempting aroma of fresh meat comes from the place, his nostrils fill with it, inciting his stomach to let out a slight growl. —I see you agree. Relax. My friend is not as fierce as he seems.— He watches as the Acrocanthosaurus narrows its eyes and turns around, heading for the metal door.

The giant slams his snout against the door, the metal clanking a little but not budging. —There seems to be a lot of meat behind it. But this won’t let us in. There’s something holding on, but I can’t reach it. And he’s too weak.— He earns a growl from the dinosaur being pointed at. The big dinosaur paces back and forth, examining the door, every time he turns, accidentally knocks over or dislodges a piece of furniture with his tail.

That sound again. The one that brought him to this place. It's even louder up close and causes him to recoil slightly, which bothers his senses. He looks at the indicated place again and it seems that they are right, he smells a large amount of food on the other side, neither of them seemed particularly interested in him either, so he approaches cautiously. —Let me look— The therapsid sniffs the door, now that he sees it up close, it had a large number of dents and scratches along and across, the one caused by the Acrocanthosaurus being visible from afar. His five fingers ending in robust claws check the firmness of the metal. Seeing that it wouldn't be so easy, he turns to look at the other two, who remain attentive and expectant of his movements, they don't seem to have any intentions of attacking. He takes a few steps back, and exerting great force on his tail and back legs he manages to get up on them and a loud bang is heard when his front legs hit the door. Now that he had a better view of the gap caused by the dent, he could see a sort of barricade behind the door, with faint blood stains that had been there for who knows how many years.

Like a hungry bear, the two dinosaurs listen and watch as the Anteosaurus reaches through the door with one arm, knocking the barricade down and trying to throw the things away with brute force. They wait patiently for a long time until the animal drops heavily onto its front legs again. It moves away from the door a little and the smaller dinosaur peers in to look. Everything on the other side seems to be in disarray now.

—Crash into this again, Zonnan! It should work now.— The brown-feathered Cryolophosaurus moves away from the door and as soon as it does, a loud crash resonates throughout the place as the doors swing open and crash into the walls due to the impact. A large cold mist rises along with the dust, covering all vision and the room where the animals are. But this does not matter to them, guided by their sense of smell they enter the refrigerator room and their senses are delighted by the large amount of meat hanging and stored in boxes that there was, it is enough to satisfy their hunger for a few days.

Personal Event Roll.

1,104 words.

First time writing a oneshot. I wanted to try it to see if I can do something else during the time I'm not drawing. It was originally written in another language and I was correcting as I pasted the paragraphs, possibly the translator or I missed some grammatical error.
