Wandering with Wicke ( Event Quest for : Lil Monster )

It was a dark cold night during the winter season on the island with most dinosaurs turning in for the night after but others seemed to enjoy the darkness the cold season brought around during the nighttime with it getting dark in the day as well sometimes. Kalameet was out and about loving the new snow fall, as his black scales collected snow on top of them with him wandering around the deep snow area’s he was on the way to explore the many abandoned buildings in vast fallen apart cities that sat still on the island as something was drawing him near but he wasn’t sure what it was, as he left footprints behind heading into the deeper area sliding under a old rusted chain link fence careful not to catch himself before letting out a sigh.

“I wonder what's going to be new here this time around” he said to himself as he walked down a familiar road that he often visited a lot when he went exploring and up ahead was a very run down building followed by many more that once had life but now were skeletons who just stood unused like before, and someone was watching him from afar but he didn’t know it yet as he hopped up old stone steps to a large building that had broken windows and a open door. Kalameet entered as he looked around his eyes widening with the sight of the inside of the building and all the old furniture that was covered in dust.

“Wow this place hasn’t changed one bit since I was here, always still dusty with the junk lying around” Kalameet said as he sneezed from the dust going up his nose causing him to jump slightly at an object that fell and hit the ground. From afar the figure continued to follow Kalameet and watching from outside moving as he did but it didn’t want to show itself yet as it was unsure of what Kalameet was even though it looked like Kalameet, it was waiting for the right time so sticking from aware was the way to go for now and Kalameet had no idea he was being followed.

As he explored further he heard soft footsteps coming from another room in the building which caused him to duck down confused on if someone else was here as he didn’t see any other dinosaurs around and it was just him before spotting a flash of orange and white feathers as the figure ran off hearing Kalameet speak which made him want to follow and catch whoever it was following him.

“Hey come back, I already saw you! You have orange feathers” He honked out trying to keep up the stranger who was making their way through the house jumping over, which caused Kalameet to stumble as he made his way up old wooden stairs that creaked as he made his way up where the other dinosaur went when she was running from him. Upstairs another pachy caught her breath as her feathers ruffled not aware that Kalameet had followed her up the stairs and that he knew his way around the building, turning as she heard his footsteps approaching, and she had nowhere else to go it was about to be a forced meeting not on her terms as she stared down the hallway hearing Kalameet call out to her, Wicke was not ready at all to see another one of her kind but this was going to be a first for her and Kalameet.

Kalameet followed up the stairs as he turned down the hallway spotting dusty footprints left behind on the old floorboards of the building and they looked like his which made him curious but he had lost track of where the stranger went, he was getting closer as he turned the corner being met with a head slam to his dome as the sound of clacking bone echoed through the building with fiery feathers caught his eyes as Kalameet slid across the floor pushing back the attacker who was honking up a storm as she was not happy to be found out.

“Hey what was that for, can’t you just chill out for a second I am not going to hurt you” Kalameet siad snorting as he pushed back against the other pachy who went by the name of Wicke, the two snorting as she stepped back hearing his voice and her eyes wide before she began to speak. “I am sorry I just you followed me and I got scared and I have never seen another pachy like me who are you anyways and why were you following me?” She snorted at Kalameet, which she was curious about but she wanted to keep her distance from the new stranger.

“My name is Kalameet and I was just exploring until I heard your footsteps and saw your very orange feathers” Kalameet said as he stared down Wicke as he waited for her to introduce herself to him, he was glad to see another one of his kind but he was curious to how long she been alone and in the area since he had been here for awhile many times.

Wicke had a puzzled face before letting out a sigh and putting her guard down “The names Wicke and nice to meet you sorry for the head bump not used to seeing others around” she said approaching Kalameet with her feathers flared that almost looked like flames due to the bright orange color, it was nice to finally see another pachy which made her relax a bit before nodding to Kalameet in a friendly way.

“Its not  a problem I usually am on my guard too, would you like to explore around here a bit more, maybe we could travel together if you’d be okay with that” Kalameet honked before following Wicke who smiled with a nod as she headed back down the stairs so they were in the main part of the building again, Kalameet followed as the two explored the various trinkets and objects and Wicke showed him around a bit with things she had found on her exploration, it was nice not being alone and he almost wondered if she felt the same way.

“I think i’d like that Kalameet, lets go explore some more” Wicke said as she continued on with Kalameet not far behind her which meant the two were hanging out now with Wicke showing off her area that she had made in the abandoned buildings area and Kalameet showed her where he had been in the area the two chasing one another and having fun in the cold snow but Wicke was always easy to spot as her feathers almost looked like a light that never went out even in the cold, after awhile the two would rest in another building telling stories to one another and giving off some good honks, Kalameet had made a friend and Wicke no longer felt alone which was a nice thing to happen in the cold world they new.

“I am glad I met you, and I look forwards to many more adventures”
