The wind blew across the island throwing small snow storms up with the snow falling lightly back as they formed snow drifts in places to forage and around the forest , it once lush and green now to be bare and have trees that looked naked with no leaves attached and if they had some it was dead leaf age that clung on out of spite.

The sound of thundering feet could be heard as they moved through the powered snow as black

Scales followed by red eyes came into view with a snort that made mist due to the heat from Baphomets bill as he let out aloud bellow calling to two figures who were slowly catching up to him as they carried various leafage on their backs that were fresh and green, it was Tara and Ravana.  The three were out looking for supplies and foraging for next year as the snow was just the right softness to be able to paw at and uncover the leafage and plant life that had been growing under the cold blanket.

“Baphomet you know it’s not a race, we are just gathering and foraging besides you missed a bunch back there last time” Ravana said as he rolled his eyes before passing the stubborn bull. The female who spotted white scales followed behind Ravana before giggling as she looked at Baphomet who was covered in snow from him rushing around. They had been away from the main herd as it was covering a wider area to forage while Tara and Ravana knew what spots were best to get the most out of one place, Baphomet was just along as he wanted to join and didn’t take no for an answer.

“ Look I am just making sure we get to the main spot before anyone else does and besides I can always get more leafage on the way back to the herd” the bull said as he leaned down moving some snow with his bill and digging up some leaves but they weren’t as lush as Tara’s and Ravana’s where he was met with a laugh from them for his effort.

It was always a winter tradition to go foraging for the parasaur herds on the island the three had been doing it ever since they were young , the elders always told how important it was to be ready and stocked up for next year, and they decided it would be a good time to do so as they were on a trail that tended to have hidden stashes from other herbivores doing the same thing as them.

Ravana led the way as he waited for Tara and Baphomet to catch up as he was careful not to drop his already foraged leafage he had collected and dug around in the powder snow that was heavily surrounded by bare trees, using his bill to pull up various roots and other leafage that was hidden below the powered snow as Tara followed behind and joined in throwing the snow up to clear a pathway for them to walk and continue looking, Baphomet watched from a far as he needed to look for a area before spotting a large log that lay half covered in the snow which gave him a idea. Approaching the log Baphomet started removing the snow throwing it up with his head and pawing at the log before starting to see the ground below, it was now time to move the log and with that he planted his feet and began to push using all his might trying to unveil the stuff that could be hiding under it that they could collect. 

After a struggle the sound of the log dropping and rolling away in the snow caught Tara and Ravana’s attention as they had leafage in their bills before coming over to see what Baphomet was uncovering to collect for next year as the two females made their way over seeing Baphomet digging as he kicked up snow at them causing them to snort before standing to the side.

“Did you find anything Baphomet and watch were your kicking snow you almost got it on me and Tara” Ravana said as he looked down when Baphomet stepped back so they could see, as Tara also approached before honking happily at what she had seen “good job Baphomet you found a berry bush! And it’s full” Tara said as she leaned down, plucking some of the berries on the branches so they wouldn’t fall off or get squished. Snow berries were hard to find and when it heated up they usually got taken by other herbivores so it was really lucky that Baphomet had found them under the large log.

Baphomet let out a smile as he was excited for their find, the herd would love it when they brought all this stuff back for next years supplies, and it looked like Ravana was impressed as he was picking up more leafage putting it on his back making sure it wouldn’t fall as Tara continued to gather the snow berry branches. Baphomet decided to help Ravana as he put more leafage branches on his back so they could carry more since he was much bigger than the two, after awhile Tara had gathered as much as she could get and headed back towards Baphomet and Ravana, the three were ready to travel back to their herd as they gathered as much as they could and their spot was now empty with supplies , Ravana had picked out a amazing spot that worked in their favor.

“Are you two ready to head on back, I don’t think we can carry much more to the herd I think this should last us awhile” he honked at Baphomet and Tara in which he was met with a nod from the two which settled it, they had gathered as much as they could and it was time to head back and just on time as it was still light out and the snow now had melted slightly making their travel back much easier.
