All In the Past ( Event Quest for : Mechanic Drone & Lil Monster )

It had been cold over the past few days with the snow fall heavy across the island creating a frozen white blanket of snow that never seemed to let up, causing traveling herbivores to have to pause their journeys due to the freezing temperatures and a group of two parasaurs and one styracosaurus seemed to have come to the harsh reality as they had been traveling and had gotten stuck in the snow storm, they were now on the lookout for some shelter but little did they know they would stumble upon a familiar foe soon enough.

“Vulcan the snow is getting worse, we can’t see anything besides I don’t think we can go much further!” a soft white scaled parasaur bellowed as she pushed through the snow trying to clear a pathway for another parasaur behind her who went by the name of Ravana as well as trying to follow Vulcan who was leading their small group on the journey.

The large sty bull who went by the name of Vulcan stopped as he looked around only seeing a flurry of white wind his scales cold to the touch, Tara was right along with Ravana who was voicing his opinion on turning back but Vulcan was looking for something particular that was around here, it was hidden but it would be a shelter surrounded by large and bare trees once full of life but now dry and empty. With a snort Vulcan pushed forwards using his head to clear a path for the parasaur who let out a sigh as they continued to follow Vulcan who seemed to know where he was going.

After awhile Vulcan had led the small group to a large cave that had icicles hanging from the entrance, although it didn’t look like how Vulcan remembered but it got them out of the heavy snow storm, the other parasaur Ravana pushing past Tara as he skidded to stop and shook of the snow before looking up and around the cave.

“ Finally a break from that freezing weather, why do you always want to travel when it is horrible out Vulcan” Ravana said as he snorted at the bull who was also fixated on the cave they were in, it looked like they weren’t alone as it wasn’t the normal cave he knew about around here, as Tara also joined in on the cave experience.

“Whoa look at this cave, it’s huge but hey least Vulcan found us shelter besides it wouldn’t hurt to rest here for a bit…” Tara said, shoving Ravana before narrowing her eyes as she turned her attention to Vulcan who seemed to be jumpy with the presence of something deeper in the cave as he stepped forwards with caution, something was here as well and they weren’t alone.

“Who is there, make yourself known before I find you myself” Vulcan snorted as Tara and Ravana stuck behind the large bull “We aren’t alone in here be watchful” he said to his two companions who nodded now on their guard due to Vulcans words, deep inside the back of the cave a voice and distant jingles could be heard as it echoed through to the front of the cave causing Tara and Ravana to duck and hide behind one another.

“Who’s there show show yourself” Tara said as she watched further down the tunnel, before a figure came into view and began to speak “You three lost? And why are you in my cave” a large herbivore made it’s way out into view, it was Krampus the well known and mostly disliked Dace who was known for his trouble, but this time it seemed different as Vulcan stood tall watching the large spikey herbivore make his way towards them.

“We were taking shelter from the storm, I hope you don’t mind our presence Krampus” Vulcan said as he shook his head watching closely, he knew Krampus and always heard stories about him but the mean demeanor wasn’t there it seemed this time was different as he waited for a answer.

“Isn’t that Krampus like the gift stealer, Tara?” Ravana said as he ducked down when Krampus looked at him. Krampus let out a sigh before shaking out his spikes and slumping to the ground, his tail swaying.

“You can stay here till it dies down, just sit over there and we won’t have a problem” Krampus said as he watched outside seeing that the storm wasn’t getting better, he didn’t mind letting the three hunker down and besides maybe the company was nice. 

Vulcan nodded told to Tara and Ravana to lay down over to where Krampus said was ok as the two, before pausing as he turned his head to Krampus and bowed it slightly “Thank you for letting us stay , the weather is bad maybe you aren’t all bad like everyone says you are” the old bull said before joining Tara and Ravana who were conversing amongst each other as they waited for Vulcan to join them.

Krampus sighed and nodded before laying his head down on the cave floor before mumbling to the three “YEAH YEAH whatever get your rest you have a long ways to go, and quiet down over there, but your welcome” Krampus said before closing his eyes and going silent.

“Thank you Krampus, from me and Tara both as well” Ravana said as she rested her head, along with Vulcan laying down with them, it was time for some well needed rest for the three and Krampus was nice enough to let them stay, maybe meeting old foes wasn’t always a bad thing in the end. With everyone settled now all that could be heard was the snow storm outside and until Krampus kicked them out they would enjoy the free stay as long as they could.

Ravana and Tara both huddled together and Vulcan sprawled out, all dinosaurs were now resting. Maybe Krampus wasn’t all that bad in the end and had a different side that they had been shown today.
