Giving was common amongst the cold season on the island and many of the dinosaurs who resided there always joined in on the festive activity with most exchanging gifts with friends and some with random others they had found on their journey at the time, and a small group of carnivores led by a pale brown feathered utahraptor who went by the name of Yuma, were making their way into the swamp on the hunt for gifts to give out as two of them never had done it before it was a new experience to partake in.

The swamp had many things that would be cool as gifts to give to others although Yuma wasn’t excited to get dirty a small sucho who’s name was Maelstrom had offered the idea and it was seconded by Nasaku a young Alberto who wanted to join in on the giving as well.

“ I bet the swamp has so many things we could fine nobody ever goes here least from what I heard and who doesn’t love the snow in the swamp” Maelstrom said as he walked ahead of Yuma and Nasaku caught up tilting his head not understanding the excitement to go into the swamp it was always dirty and muddy even with the weather being colder than usual.

Yuma shook her head as she jumped ahead of the two and leaned down her collar jingling slightly “we have to make sure they are good gifts not just some random junk so make sure you look really hard and I’ll look too!” Yuma barked as she rushed forwards keeping to the dry spots in the swamp avoiding the water, she was looking for things they could gift to others after they were done at the swamp and after a while she had found some swamp flowers , commonly grown when it was cold out during the winter season.

“ let’s look over here Nasaku, I am sure we can find something as well” the dark scaled sucho said as he leaned down sniffing the ground before looking above trying to spot something, and Nasaku followed also looking. As Yuma watched chuckling to herself with the flowers in her claws, she was glad they wanted to give this year and Join in on the fun of the season.

Nasaku and Maelstrom searched upturning rocks and other logs pulling out various items and sharing them with one another before going back to find more with Maelstrom picking up some old fishing line that was attached to a glass bottle with various different stones inside, it would make a great gift. 

“Look what I found Maelstrom!” Nasaku said as he pulled an old metal sign from out of the murky pond they were looking by before he took it in his jaws and walked over to Maelstrom who’s eyes widened as he looked at what the small alberto found, what a cool item. Their claws were getting full and now it was time to find Yuma who was off finding her items to give out and she was making her way back to find Maelstrom and Nasaku.

“Nasaku and Maelstrom what did you find, hope you found lots because I did and we need to head out to hand gifts out soon we don’t want to be out late to much” Yuma said as she trotted over with some plants she had found off searching with her eyes wide when she saw all the objects Maelstrom and Nasaku found it looked like they were just about ready to head off to find some dinosaurs to give out their gifts too and leading the way was Maelstrom and Nasaku who had their objects at the ready to share around.

“Why do we give gifts out to others Yuma?” Nasaku asked as he looked around, now leaving the swamp as they headed into the forest that was littered with pathways that most dinosaurs used to travel on during when the snow took hold of the ground during the cold season.

Yuma chuckled as she smiled “It’s just something nice to do every once in awhile, so just try your best” as they stopped when Maelstrom spotted a large styracosaurus herd who were passing as they foraged in the less snowed areas, these would be great to give gifts too as the large herbivores tended to be laid back.

Maelstrom was up first as he walked up to a young styraco and handed out the things he had found “Take these as gifts! I hope you enjoy them” as he laid them down on the ground and watched Nasaku approach a much larger adult and handed what he had found to them as well giving off a smile when the sty snorted at him in a friendly manner and investigated the items on the ground.

Yuma chuckled and bowed to the herbivores who watched the three and others joined in to see the fun things they were giving out, Yuma placing the various swamp flowers on the ground so some of the other sty’s who were too nervous to approach could enjoy them as well as the others.

“Please enjoy some of these swamp flowers as gifts and we hope your winter has been going good” Yuma said as she watched Maelstrom and Nasaku play around with some of the young stys who were happy with the gifts they had been given, it was a successful and fun gift giving for the three and she laid down in the snow watching as Maelstrom and Nasaku were given some things the young sty’s thought they would like but most of it was plants.

After awhile Yuma, Maelstrom and Nasaku said their goodbyes to the herd and found it was time to go as it was getting darker out now and the herd needed to move on, giving gifts as always a treat and the three were happy to be able to partake in the seasons giving aspect at least, off they went happy with their gifts they had given out.
