It was cold and everything felt sore, the cold ground didn’t help either as DeadBite rolled onto her side before opening her eyes and seeing Viperess soundly asleep next to her. The labs were getting much harsher and dangerous as they grew not being able to hide as well when they were hatchlings making life much harder for the siblings. Finally getting to her feet she sniffed the air before letting out a growl as she nudged Viperess awake who wasn’t too happy with her annoyance from her sister.

“Get up Viper we need to go find something to eat in this god awful place, plus the floor hurts I don’t know how you sleep so well” Deadbite said as she let out a yawn, as her stomach growled while Viperess was getting to her feet, both were up and it was time to find food in the hell hole they called home what could go wrong they would be used to it by now right?

Viperess and DeadBite made their way down the cold dark hallways as they sniffed keeping a low profile as they were on the hunt unaware of the dangers that now lurked in the alpha labs ever since the doors had opened, but Viperess and DeadBite just thought it was another normal day in the rundown labs. There wasn’t much to eat in the labs so finding other dinosaurs to prey on was the natural way of life down in the darkness but it was what they had to do to survive the harsh world.

“Where are all the big rats, there is always something here” Deadbite growled to herself as they turned into a laboratory room with old dusty equipment, the predator stalking the young cryo’s keeping itself hidden but feathers glew and radiated color from behind the old cryo chambers that lined the back of the room.

“It’s because your always talking it scares them away and I Will not be the one not to eat due to your jaws that don’t stop” Viperess said as she looked around the room trying to track any movement or scent but everything came up dry, the rats weren’t here and it was odd almost unusual causing the cryo to be on high alert taking her steps carefully forwards, with DeadBite following behind but taking a less quiet approach.

“Maybe you ate them all, and it scared them away so it’s your fault” Deadbite said as she walked towards the tubes looking into the broken glass unaware of the eyes that watched her and Viperess but soon fear took over as Deadbite froze her blood running cold.

Viperess turned around to see her sister paused as she sighed “Stop playing around Dead, I was only joking it’s not funny this place creeps me out you know that!” Viper said as she headed towards Deadbite.

Glowing slits watched from the otherside of the cryo tubes, dead set on the two young cryo’s see. it was hunting but not for rats, it was hunting for its own kind and these two had walked into a kill zone for the cryo who went by the name of Prototype.

“The..res some..thing there Viper” Deadbite stuttered with her jaws as she backed up “I think I know where the rats went.. I think we need to leave NOW” and with the words leaving her jaws a loud *smash* of glass as Viper was sent flying and DeadBite ducked just in time, Prototype had launched her ambush and she was on the hunt as the smell of blood wafted through the air, due to the glass shards flying around.

“Ahh yes , prey for once and how sad some of my own kind, don’t worry it will be quick” Prototype said flashing her eye blinding feathers and dashing towards Viperess but was met with a mouth full of teeth as DeadBite ran to her aid due to not getting knocked over from the smashing of the cryo tubes.

Viperess was given enough time as she got to her feet seeing DeadBite going head to head with the large cryo they had never seen anything like it before and they were on the menu but being in such a enclosed space it looked like they were going to have to fight their way out, even if it killed them.

“DeadBite we have to fight it or get past it, we can’t die here” Viperess growled as she snarled at Prototype, the two siblings now taking a stand against the predator which side exchanging blows but being careful to not get caught by Prototype who was having a hard time keeping track of Deadbite and Viper.

With one wrong side step DeadBite and Viperess pushed into Prototype knocking the larger cryo into the still standing cyro tubes which caused even more loud smashing as Proto let out a loud roar that echoed through the hallways which would soon draw more problems to the laboratory room, they needed to get out quick.

“We did it now RUN” the two said to each other as they jumped over Prototype who was failing and blocking the doorway they had used to get into the room, but it seemed the large cryo had gotten stuck in wires and was having a hard time getting out, this was their time to escape and fast.

“Pick on someone your own size!, Come on DeadBite let’s go quickly” Viper added before letting out a quick growl seeing DeadBite not far behind her who also gave some growls to Prototype and both got out of the door away from the danger and dashed down the hallways to narrow for Prototype to follow but her roars echoed and shook the labs.

Near miss with death and the two decided maybe it was ok to stick with rats even if they were hard to find, but they both did best a monster from the labs so that was an experience, it was true only the strong survive.
