A dark haze was casted over the sky making the weather that was once bright and blue now a glooming grey, the island had been under a harsh storm with heavy rainfall pouring down for hours now only stopping to let up again and continue. Most dinosaurs would move into shelter to avoid getting drenched and that is what a familiar trio would do as they had been caught in the rain and wanted to get out. Deep in the abandoned city the sound of footsteps kicking up rocks along with making wet sounds, three figures moved making a mad dash for cover letting out laughs and roars of fun.

“When did the rain get so cold! Come on guys in here the abandoned buildings should provide some shelter” Jigsaw called out as she watched Seek and Daisy rushing behind her to get out of the rain the three laughing at one another as Daisy skidded to a stop shaking out her feathers while Seek and Jigsaw had no need due to not having feathers.

They hadn’t been in the abandoned city much and it was much darker due to the large old buildings that towered in the air, they were new territory and the three were keen on exploring. The large acro juvenile looking around at the old building they were hiding under as old wire curled around the old stone walls that looked like a standing corpse, it was off to more exploring inside the buildings that would keep them dry from the rain and Seek was in the lead with Jigsaw and Daisy followed behind.

“Wait up Seek, don’t leave us behind we wanna look around too!” Jigsaw chirped as she followed behind , the trio now in a few of the dusty old buildings that were filled with old objects along with scratch marks that littered the walls which Seek took notice of the scratch marks but shook it off as old wear and tear from others going through.

Jigsaw and Daisy rushed ahead as they were interested in the various trinkets that were left behind and covered in dust as Seek followed feeling nervous and unsettled but he shook it off once more before catching up to the two who were rushing around and didn’t take notice like he did.

“Wow look at all these old things, I wonder what they were for, what do you think Jigsaw and Seek?” the small carno said as she looked around nudging things with her snout before awaiting an answer from her small pack. The young cryo shaking her head as she laughed at Daisy before speaking as she flicked her tail behind her.

“I always hear about those stories of humans, wonder if it was from them they must have been really smart for all this I can’t even keep track of you two half the time” She said walking past Daisy and Seek. After the three looked around a smell entered the air as Seek stopped sniffing the air, the uneasy feeling of being watched, something was there and the small trio was about to walk right into them with Seek trying to speak up but Jigsaw and Daisy were always ahead and super loud.

Daisy and Jigsaw kept talking about the humans as they moved deeper into the buildings with the two bickering back and forth as they came into an abandoned kitchen area that was far into the building, coming to a stop as Jigsaw had jumped onto an old counter.

“Those Humans were probably stupid and that's why they aren’t here anymore” Before she could get another word out of her mouth she was cut off by a voice and the shadow of a figure with sharp dew claws and talons. White and black scales flashed as pale eyes watched the trio before giving off a grin and speaking.

“The Humans, Monster who walked on two legs.. Don’t be fueled they weren’t dumb so watch your mouth” Soul said as she leaned on the counter towards Jigsaw who was now on the floor due to the scare from the utahraptor, they had never crossed paths with a utahraptor and this one gave off a eerie feeling but it seemed like Soul knew what she was talking about and the trio wanted to prod the utah with questions about the old world and what she had seen.

Stepping forwards Daisy snorted as she looked at Soul “Well if you know so much about this place tell us what you know, we want to know” she said sitting down on the ground now throwing Soul off of track thinking the three would be scared of her but it was the opposite , Seek nodded and looked at Jigsaw before speaking.

“Yeah, tell us if you know so much!"What do you think Jigsaw?” Seek said as he joined Daisy on the ground as they both looked up at Soul to start her story about the humans and what she knew about them. The young cryo looked around and sighed before nodding “Well I guess it wouldn’t hurt besides the rain is still going” she said as she joined her group waiting for Soul to start.

Soul laughed and grinned “Well I do perhaps know a few things I could share, and you all seem interested” she said shaking herself out before standing and beginning to tell the various stories of humans that she knew and when they walked the earth and what was left behind when they disappeared. The trio was locked in as they listened and asked various questions back and forth to Soul who would answer or give a quick laugh and a head shake before continuing and this went on for hours before they knew it the rain had stopped and it was about time for the three to head back to their home back in a cave they had claimed.

“If you come back here I can always tell more” Soul said as she laid down on the counter before giving off a toothy grin, Seek and Jigsaw were the first to get up and had to nudge Daisy up due to her asking questions when it was time to go.

The trio had never come across a utahraptor but it seemed like crossing paths with Soul allowed them to learn about their world which was important and where things came from, it was always a thing younger dinosaurs asked but without parents like these three it was a crossing of paths that they had did would always remain in their cores.

“Thank you Soul for sharing, hopefully we cross paths again one day and next time we will all be much bigger” Seek, Jigsaw and Daisy called out with the pale utahraptor giving out a chuckle before the three left the building off to their place they called home.
