[Trade] Crossing Paths (Age-up: BlackOut , Artemisa and Calisto)

Claws clicked against the floor as movement was quick and quiet, it had been about a week since the large doors on the island had opened and new dinosaurs had emerged but a small pack of albertosaurus who were born down in the labs had escaped from their cryo freezing and now roamed the harsh labs they called home, and just being hatchlings life was rough for the three.

A larger dark scaled hatchling lead the pack and behind her were too much smaller albertosaurus hatchlings who went by the name Calisto and Artemisa, the three had found each other when the cryo freezing ruptured and allowed the once held in place living creatures to thrive once again. The three had adapted to their harsh world they lived in with many of the lower floors crawling with the much darker side of the labs as horror’s who were to big to make their way to the surface dwelled , the small hatchlings knowing that much to never stray too far from the upper levels but that as going to change today as curiosity of the unknown got the better of the three.

“We shouldn’t be down here BlackOut , remember what the others said and they never came back!” Artemisa said as she fluffed up her small feathers that scuffed off her scales trying to catch up to Calisto and BlackOut who thought Artemisa was just being a scaredy alberto, besides what could be lurking down here they probably just got lost.

“ Do you really believe that they never came back? It was just a story to scare you besides down here is way more fun” Calisto said as she laughed through her teeth looking backwards before catching up to BlackOut who had stopped midway through the hallway they were exploring as she smelt something in the air, it was another dinosaur.

Calisto had moved ahead with BlackOut before she stopped as well and sniffed the air only for Artemisa to bump into the two causing them to fall over and make BlackOut groan in annoyance. The air felt more thick and almost poisonous by the tench that clouded the area they were in, it smelled of rott and decomposing meat.

“Be careful, I think there is something around here. Do you smell that?” Blackout said as she got to her feet her tail moving back and forth behind her, Calisto and Artemisa also got to their feet as they looked around, seeing the walls of the hallway were covered in blood and large claw marks and … bones.

Calisto sniffed the air as well before she felt her scales sting with shivers as she locked eyes on the bones that littered the ground, it seemed like they had stumbled too far down into the labs and BlackOut wanting to explore again had gotten them in trouble once more.

Loud footsteps echoed down the hallway as low growling and hissing found it’s way to the three who began to feel uneasy, suddenly a red eye appeared finding its gaze on the three hatchlings who stood in fear.

“Oh how little, seems like you three explored too far. It would be a shame if I ate you” A voice said as a large acro came from out of the shadows and towards them her tracker collar that sat around her neck beeping as the red light flickered from it.  They had ran into Geiger, the monster of the alpha labs but it seemed like the large acro was just here to toy with the small hatchlings as she would wait for them to grow in order to hunt them.

“We were just lost! We will be going now don’t mind us” Artemisa said as she backed up trying to get Calisto and BlackOut to follow her but they were fearful but curious of the horror filled giant that stood before them. BlackOut letting out a small growl as she stepped forwards “ we were just leaving and I can promise you, we wouldn’t taste good” she hissed which was met with a cackling laugh from Geiger who nudged the small hatchling with her large jaws causing BlackOut to slide backwards.

Calisto stepped in as well as she pushed down her fear deep into her before nodding and speaking very few words “we were just leaving, BlackOut’s right and go eat something your own size” she said as she growled lightly with Artemisa in the back scared by Geiger and taking silent.

The three hatchlings had never crossed paths with such a large beast and this was the first time they had ever come this close to death, and after hearing the stories of Geiger from others in the labs they couldn’t understand why the beast wasn’t killing them but they didn’t question it.

Geiger stepped back as she laughed before swaying her tail behind her, as she crushed remaining bones and skulls beneath her weight. “Well aren’t you three brave, maybe i’ll let you go this time but next time you won’t be so lucky, now run along before I change my mind” the large acro said as she turned her back to the three and walked off into the darkness her red collar beeping once more before it went silent. 

“Can we please go before she changes her mind you two!” Artemisa said before she decided it was time to stop exploring and head to the upper and safer levels. Calisto and BlackOut nodded before looking back down the dark hallway not seeing Geiger anymore.. Maybe it was best that they leave while they could. With a huff BlackOut growled before following Artemisa and Calisto was shortly behind the two.

“Maybe next time we should follow Calisto and not BlackOut” Artemisa said out loud which had the three hatchlings bickering on their way back up to the safer levels and far far away from Geiger, who they lived to tell the tale of their crossing of paths which was deemed lucky. Besides who doesn’t like crossing paths with literal death?
