Harsh rain blasted down on the island as high octane winds threw the various plant life around some that couldn’t handle the weather would be uprooted and taken to who knows where. Two figures could be spotted as they dodged various things that flew at them with one coming to a stop as he ruffled out his feathers before growling. It was Mocker and Bulrush , and they weren’t too happy to have their day start like this.

“How come you always pick the worst days to go out, and in a windstorm at that” Mocker said as he growled with his feathers going in all directions, before he looked at Bulrush who was trying to hide from the harsh wind as he shook off the rain that hit his scales.

“It must be a tropical storm we can find shelter come on, stop complaining Let’s go” Bulrush said as he trotted ahead with Mocker behind him rolling his eyes and following, down near the beach water splashed harshly around as the ocean was taken by the harsh winds which made it hard to navigate the harsh waters which Vanuatu had been out during the start of the tropical storm and was fighting the waves as he splashed in and out of the water avoiding the harsh waves that crashed against him. Tropical storms were pretty common but this was the worst of the spring season and most dinosaurs were feeling the harsh reality of it.

“I need to get to more swallow water, I can’t take these waves much longer” Vanuatu said as he dove back under the water to avoid more waves and the strong winds. Back in the thick area of the forest where Bulrush and Mocker were trying to find a good place to hunker down as plant life and other things flew past them with some hitting Mocker in the face as he shook out his feathers and ducked lower behind Bulrush who seemed to not be bothered by the weather as he held his head high to look for a spot that provided cover but he wasn’t having any luck seeing anything.

“ Maybe if we go this way we can find somewhere less windy come on Mocker, this one isn’t giving up too easily,” Bulrush said as he darted ahead with Mocker following close behind as the two entered into a more open area with fewer trees in search for a better spot.

Thunder cracked harshly hitting the water as Vanuatu dodged with leaps and went deeper into the water as he swam towards the shore trying to get to the shallow water as possible so he wouldn’t have to fight against the waves that threw him in different directions. The small herbivore was almost to the shore as he was hit by a harsh wave that pushed him against the reef bellow his feathers lightening the blow but he still hit pretty hard causing him to let out a small squeak before he resurfaced now closer to the reef that harboured swallow water least he wasn’t hurt to bad.

“ Well that hurt, but look how close I am to the shore! Just hope the wind dies down now” as Vanuatu looked up feeling droplets of rain starting to fall and hit him on his feathers which means the tropical storm was only to get worse and he would have to get out of the water due to the shallow reef area flooding when the time had come.

He headed over leaping softly into the reef area as he made his way to the shore and dry land to get a better footing before the flood happened. “ Why did the tropical storm have to happen today.. While I was out” he mumbled to himself but kept on with the rain getting a bit harsher with each step.

“Over here Mocker come this way I think I see a spot that we can hide from the storm , quickly it's raining!” Bulrush said as Mocker shook his feathers as they became drenched from the rain but the duo soon found a small rocky overhang out in the open.

“Jeez finally found somewhere to hide from this stupid storm, I don’t think my feathers could get any more wet you lucky bastard without feathers” Mocker said as he growled shaking himself out again, but him and Bulrush were now dry and the rocky overhang was providing a great area for the two cryo’s. Bulrush laughed as they hunkered down to ride out the rest of the harsh storm that held hold of the island, spring was here and it was letting everyone know.

Back down at the shallow area’s off the beach Vanuatu had made it to shore and wandered into a small seaside cave that was further up the beach which provided the small apato with cover and besides he was now out of the water and much safer then having to fight through the flood waters that were to come shortly.

“Phew finally out of that crazy ocean waters with the waves, and in a nice dry place” Vanuatu said as he looked outside the seaside cave, he was finally able to catch his breath and get his bearings again. The storm continued on for a bit longer as the rain soon came to a light drizzle along with the winds becoming less aggressive.

Many other dinosaurs had hunkered down and showed the endurance and what it took to survive the harsh weather storms and it took patience and survival instincts to endure the harsh environments on the island but Mocker, Bulrush and Vanuatu seemed to have the things needed to survive the harsh storms when it came down to it and with that they would wait out the rest of the storm and continue with their daily lives but it was about not being wet now as they would stay where they were found to wait out the storm for a bit and each one was okay with that
