The labs the deep darkness and abyss of an old run down facility that wasn’t functioning for years and one of the last remaining structures of what was left of the humans that once walked the same island and was hidden away, and what came with it was some of the darkest and horror filled creatures who once were trapped and now we're free due to the cryo freezing chambers that failed when the doors opened.

Faded lights flickered in the deepest part of the lab which was known for its cryo chambers that were in deep freeze and had failed with the system and age causing them to release various lab experiments and one that had failed recently was the hatchery.

Various hatchery chambers lined this large room but something was off this time as glass littered the metal grounded grates and egg shells that rotted away with time exposed to the air but something had hatched and escaped make that many. 

Pitter patter could be heard as something small was making its way around the ground and the glimpse of scales that flared a bright orange in the dark room, something had just emerged into

The world and it was something of a different breed.

Small chirps echoed as a small utahraptor jumped up onto one of the hatchery pods as she inspected some old egg shell that was left behind, nudging it as she sniffed the air. Fury had just hatched not to long ago and she was getting her bearings of her world around her.

The flare of orange down her scales glew as she moved around in the darkness trying to figure out where she came from but being so young she didn’t understand, lab babies weren’t anything like the upper worlds hatchlings, there was no warm embrace from their mother only cold and darkness and Fury was one of the many who experienced this.

A few rows down movement could be heard as another life was being awoken from the darkest depths of the lab as white claws stuck out of the egg shell they had clawed away, soon followed by a pale snout. 

Small chirps echoed as with a few more claw swipes and nibbles, another small utahraptor hatchling emerged from the egg and took its first breath, but something was off with this one as well, it had almost like armored plating down its back, although soft and squishy now it would harden as he grew. This was Fury also born in the alpha labs, not to far from Fury who had heard the rustling of the hatchling and had trotted over to investigate, only to stop when she saw the pale hatchling who was already up and clinging to the side of the hatching chamber and was ready to jump off to the metal grated ground.

“oh you hatched too! Welcome to the darkness” Fury called up at Forage who was still trying to get his bearings but was honed in on the other hatchling and especially her glowing scales.

Forage turned his head as he spotted Fury who was making her way over to him which caught him off guard and caused him to fall out of the hatchling area he was in, hitting the ground with a large thud but his exo skeleton plating seemed to stop the fall as he rolled in a ball curling up as he fell.

“Be careful! Are you okay” Fury said as she dashed over looking at Forge who was curled but unharmed. Hearing the footsteps Forge opened up as he laid eyes on Fury, the two were now up close and he realized it was his own kind but they did look different from one another, but he snapped out of his daze as he answered Fury’s question quickly.

“I’m okay, I think this hard plating on me stopped the fall, it didn’t hurt at all” Forge said as he shook himself off getting his feet under him.

“Where are we anyways, this place doesn’t look very livable” Forage said as he turned to look at Fury who was more

Then happy to finally see another face down here it was getting lonely after she had hatched and besides they didn’t know the dangers that lurked in the alpha labs they were just hatchlings after all but all that mattered is that they were now together and maybe crossing paths was fate for the two experiments.

Fury looked around before shrugging and spoke quickly “ well why don’t we explore, I’m sure we can find something down here, besides we can’t stay here it smells bad” she said scrunching her snout. Forge nodded in agreement something inside

Him was telling him to explore and follow fury, it was instinct each dinosaur was born with it and the two knew that hatching in similar

Time frames meant something even if they both didn’t know exactly what. 

“Well let’s go then, I’ll

Follow you and what was your name?” Forge asked before trotting up to Fury who was already walking off to explore their new world. 

Fury turned around before giving off a smile “ Fury, it said it on my chamber, I think yours said Forge” she added before waiting for him to catch up. And it was true their code names were

On the chambers and they decided sticking to

Them.

The two over the next few days would explore the labs lower levels and never questioned why they hatched in the place they did but it felt right to them, learning the ways of the labs wasn’t going to be easy for the two newcomers but they never questioned it, it felt natural to lab dinosaurs. Crossing paths made the two share a bond that would be tested by outside forces, ones they would have to learn from but for now it was about survival together.

Forge and Fury had crossed paths at a great time as something much bigger was in the labs and they would soon learn enough that having each other was the best choice for their survival and being so young they didn’t understand what others were capable of …. Not yet.
