Heat rays held hold on the island as most enjoyed the heat often being out foraging or just soaking in the sun's rays, with one therizinosaurus in particular doing the same but he was using the hot weather to use his energy to forage for himself. He was traveling through the thick forest on the lookout for some fresh fruits that grew in the tall trees that were scattered across the island , the sound of his lumbering through the foliage could be heard for a bit in front of him but he passed by many more herbivores who were also foraging in the heat and enjoying themselves but he had height on him to get to the real juicy fruits in the tree’s and that's what he was on his way to do but finding them was a lot harder than he remembered. Little did Skele know that not only was finding them a bit harder than usual but something would stand in his way.  

“I should be getting closer with each step” he mumbled to himself as he shook out his feathers continuing to walk forwards coming to a stop as he sniffed the air, soon hearing a buzzing faintly in the area but thinking nothing of it as he spotted the tree that would grow the fruit. Skele walked closer to the tree as he spotted the juicy fruit hanging from the tall tree in front of him but he also spotted something at the top of the tree hanging , it was something he hadn’t seen before and it was making a heavy buzzing racket noise. The large herbivore squinted his eyes as he looked closer.

“I have never seen something like this before , it seems really loud and it looks like it's moving” as he got closer to the hive with his face. Skele sneezed as he felt something crawling on his beak, stepping back slightly he saw a small bug that landed on his claw , it was black and yellow and was buzzing as its little wings fluttered with it crawling around. It seemed harmless but that was far from the truth and the large herbivore was about to find out that disturbing a bee’s hive was not the route to go but for now the bees seemed to not be bothered and acted passive.

‘Ah look at all these fruits, I just need to reach up to get them which shouldn’t be too hard” Skele mumbled to himself as he leaned up and reached his claws up , stepping onto a couple stones that were on the ground under the base of the tree. The large theri lifted his neck as he reached to get the fruit with his beak as the tree started to ruffle with the fruit falling down onto the ground, everything seemed to be going well for him but the buzzing was getting a lot louder the more he moved around.

Continuing to grab fruits with his beak, as he grabbed one last fruit he slipped off the rock but caught himself. A loud thud hit the ground and it wasn’t a fruit, it was much bigger, Skele turned looking at the ground as he stepped down taking a look at the round object that had small holes in it began to buzz loudly.

The buzzing began to get loud and closer to the holes that littered it, as the same bug that landed on Skele’s claws began to crawl out and buzz towards Skele loudly. Soon taking off and swarming the large theri as he began to feel various stings into his skin, as he dropped the fruit he had grabbed from his claws letting out painful screeches.

“OW OW, what the hell are these things they hurt!” he yelled, shaking his body to try and try to get the bee’s off him as he started to move faster as the stinging became worse. He had knocked a bee’s nest from the tree and they were now on the attack and Skele was the target.

Now in a full blown run, Skele was swatting at the swarm that surrounded him as he screeched at each sting, soon finding himself in the forest not known to the river he was running towards. Not being able to see Skele stripped over a rock sending him flying as he plunged into the river water making a large splash causing the bee’s to fly off as he watched the swarm return to the fruit tree and the hive on the ground.

“ I hit a bee’s nest!, of course it was in the tree I would go for '' he said mumbling to himself now dripping with water, soon getting up he shook out his feathers seeing a bunch of red lumps on his skin as the river water cooled the itchiness and heat of them. Skele let out a sigh as the buzzing had stopped and he looked around before getting out of the river and shaking out his feathers itching himself with his long claws.

“Ow ow these stings hurt, I should have been more careful when I saw the first one” mumbling to himself as he approached the tree once more looking at the buzzing hive as he stayed as far as he could be from it.

“Maybe I should really let them have the fruit and not get stung again” he said to himself as the many stings that littered his body as a reminder on how the bee’s are small but mighty, with a sigh of defeat Skele turned away from the hive and fruit that he worked hard for. Walking away he smelt the air, seeing various flowers around him before shaking himself once more and letting a few more “ow’s” out as he walked away to find a more easier food source that wasn’t guarded by hundreds of stingers and wings.

The bee’s were in plentiful this year and it was beginning to show with most dinosaurs getting a harsh stinging reminder about them.
