[Trade] Crossing Paths

Crossing paths- (Age-up for : Eden )

Pale scales could be seen followed by the iris of a black eye that was surrounded by pale white eyes , with a quick leap she landed on a rock her claws clicking against it as she looked around sniffing the air letting out a squeak from her jaws as she took in the world around her, she was left in the nesting area that her pack called home as the adults had gone of hunting leaving her on her own until they would return with a kill. Being so young she couldn’t aid them in hunts so being left behind in a hidden area was the safest option for the young utah but being curious she always found someway to get into trouble , Eden looked around as she watched a large butterfly flutter through the air causing her to jump off the rock she was on hitting the soft dirt below as she let out a annoyed growl.

“Why am I always left behind when they hunt” she grumbled before her attention went back on the butterfly that landed on the plants nearby, as she hunkered down to stalk it as it flew off once more causing Eden to follow which led her out of the area her parents had told her to stay within but the chasing of the butterfly was more important to Eden and being distracted was pushing the limits of her boundaries around the laid out territory. As Eden followed the insect she crashed through some foliage stumbling down onto the ground as she sat up looking around as she lost sight of the butterfly but now in a different area far from her territory of were her pack was and had left her, the sound of river water catching her hearing as she let out a unsure bark for her pack but no answer was returned to her she was lost. Getting to her feet she kept her arms close to her as she sniffed the ground taking in the new area but being so small for being a juvenile she was timid with new things and was not the adventurous type.

“I must have gotten carried away chasing the butterfly, now I am lost .. come on Eden that was stupid” she mumbled to herself as she tried to get a sense of where she was but with no luck she forced her foot forwards to look to see where she had wandered off from not realizing she was getting further and further away and with being watched by blue eyes with dark scales who were hidden in the shadows  unknown to Eden’s awareness. Eden followed the sound of the running water from the river as she kept low to the ground her footprints being left imprinted behind her in the dirt , it didn’t help that she was so pale from her scales so blending into her surroundings wasn’t helping the young utahraptor the closer she got to the river the further she kept going and getting back to her pack was unlikely. Soon coming to the river as she watched from the pathway she had followed letting out a sigh of annoyance due to her situation.

“I swear I came from here but I don’t remember seeing a river before.. How far did I go” she mumbled to herself before approaching the river to have a drink leaning down as she let the cool water enter her jaws and taking a minute to consume it, as she continued the sound of rustling from behind her had her on high alert as she lifted her head quickly in response.

“Who who’s there come out,” she said, stumbling over her words as she backed up, tripping over her tail looking across the river at the moving foliage, her pale eyes darting back and forth as the movement stopped. With a flash of dark scales jumping towards her across the river letting out a bark at Eden who now had her eyes closed. A voice coming from the figure , which was another utahraptor who was not much older than herself as she slowly opened her eyes, Eden’s gaze landing on a Utah who went by the name Otatchi but he looked different to her as his face was covered in black thick scales that almost looked like armor. 

“Whoa don’t be scared, wow you are bright” Otatchi said as he backed up from Eden who had a confused look across her face “Everything okay? You seem lost, are you from around here?” he asked, awaiting an answer from Eden. as she looked at him she found her words before shaking out of the daze “what's wrong with your face..?’ she blurted out by accident “Sorry I just never seen a utahraptor with scales like that” she added before getting to her feet and shaking off the dirt. This was also the first time she had ever met a utahraptor outside her packmates so it was a bit different and how long was he following her for?

“How long were you following me for.. And how did you find me” she said to Otachi who was scratching himself with his claws. “And I may be a little lost..” she added before looking at him curiously but still nervous about his presence. Otachi let out a giggle before looking at Eden before he dropped down next to her “Well you seem lost to me forsure, I can maybe help you find out where you need to go, I know alot about the area” he said in a friendly tone towards her with eyes of excitement along with stepping forwards to her. Eden was hesitant but nodded slowly before letting out one more sigh but she couldn’t help but stare at Otachi’s weird head plates as they began to walk together down the pathway.

“So what's with the weird scales.. Otachi if I may ask” she mumbled under her breath following behind him as he jumped from rocks on the path back onto the dirt looking back at her “ well they're just scales..  Your packmates don’t have any” he said confused slightly before shaking himself he was curious where she had come from and why she was away from her home, but it was nice since he was alone most of the time and her pale scale color’s interested him. The two walked exchanging conversation with Eden being rather quiet during the entire way but soon coming to a stop when Otachi bent down seeing her footprints from earlier and sniffing them.

“Hey I think I found where you came from Eden” Otachi said looking at her as she seemed shy away as she approached beside him “This looks familiar” she said quietly from her jaws before examining the footprints and stepping into it to see if it would match with her and it did the two were on the right tract to find where Eden had gotten lost but it was to continue on with the help of Otachi who seemed to know alot about being alone, which she found interesting. The further they got the more familiar the area looked to Eden who was sniffing the ground as she walked trying to keep pace with Otachi who was much more energetic than her about exploring as she was never away from her pack and she didn’t really understand it but without his help she would have been lost forever good thing they crossed paths when they did. After a while the two came to a stop as the bush that Eden had walked through while she had been distracted by the stupid butterfly that caught her short attention span. The two young raptors came to a stop with one another as Otachi let out a sigh “well looks like we found where you had wandered from, maybe be a little more careful next time so you don’t get lost” he said with a cheery smile from his jaws. “Oh and I am Otachi nice to meet you” he said before looking at Eden who walked up slowly with a smile coming across her jaws as she was happy to see where she had come from before turning to look at Otachi wanting to thank him.

“Wow we found it, looks like I got carried away” she said giggling slightly, her face becoming slightly red as she shook it off before letting out a sigh as she stepped back into the grassed area near the territory before turning back to look at Otachi once more “ Thank you for helping me Otachi, I am Eden and it was nice to meet you” she added before taking one last look back before scurrying off to the territory soon joining her pack that were worried about where she had went, soon rubbing against her mother once before looking at where Otachi had left her , maybe she would see him again. Being ushered by her mother she let out a sigh before following behind to catch up and join the pack.
