The moment Bog and Kale left their birth herd is a pivotal moment for them both.

Bog doesn't remember what he did, but it was the last straw. His peers yelled at him to leave for the good of the herd, and he did. Kale was friends with everyone, but he couldn't let Bog leave alone, so he followed after him. Maybe Kale thought he could convince Bog to return to the safety of the herd, but the two are destined to roam until they can form a small herd of their own.

(I do like that in this picture literally everyone except for Bog has the same dimorph, it kinda emphasizes that he doesn't belong here. Thanks to all who let me use their styracos!)
