Lifes a Beach - (Summer Seasonal 2024)- Taiga

The sun was shining and the island was in a uproar as many dinosaurs were on the way to the various beaches that hugged the island just before the vast ocean, many used the beaches as hunting grounds but with the overly hot weather it was being used as a different spot to come together and enjoy what it had to offer. Small brown scales came into view with a long yawn showing off her pale gums as she huffed, Taiga was hiding under some low plants trying to keep cool from the hot summer sun but it wasn’t doing her too good.

“Maybe I should go check out the Beach” She hummed to herself before standing and giving a good stretch out shaking off the dirt from her brown scales. Trotting down a dirt pathway that had been used by many on a daily basis it seems it was being used a lot today which made Taiga somewhat excited. Leaning down she sniffed smelling some other cryo’s who were also on their way down to the beach , some of them may she have known. 

“Phew this heat is getting to me, I should get moving that water would feel good on my scales” she said softly trotting down the pathway humming to herself as she moved quickly and swiftly. Taiga usually stayed in the lush jungles as it provided great hunting spots but she could use a break and hearing some other cryo’s talk about the beaches she wanted to check them out for herself.

As Taiga made her way down continuing to hum to herself she started to notice the golden sand particles to be more frequent , which meant she was getting closer. Rounding a corner her eyes landed on the golden beach with the sound of the crashing water waves against the rocks. She had made it and it was time for fun and relaxing. 

“Seems like I finally made it ! , look at every dinosaur enjoying the beach '' Taiga screeched In excitement. Stepping onto the warm sand she started to look around for a spot that would be a good digging area.

The female cryo had always loved the feeling of the warm sand from the times she had been to the beach before. Finally finding a spot she plopped down as she placed her muzzle into the sand flicking it away to start a hole, she wanted to make something in the sand but more digging was needed.

“ I think I will need some shells and other trinkets I can find around here for this” she said to herself , looking back behind her before humming a little tune to herself. Taiga got up as she had started a castle in the sand but she wanted to add shells to it but finding them was now the task for her and off she went looking at the sand as she walked around close by.

After a little while she came across various sea shells picking ones up that struck her interest into her jaws.  Once she felt she had found enough and some other items around she returned to her spot next to her castle, it was time to decorate! And that was the best part.

Taiga continued to move sand around and placed shells in places carefully, it was starting to take shape as she kept humming, enjoying the summer sun and the heat it provided. After a bit of building she felt content as she watched the waves come into the tide and wash back out to the ocean , maybe it was time to soak in the water for a bit to help calm her itchy and dry scales.

Getting up from the sand, Taiga shook it off the best she could before trotting slowly to the wet sand from the tide as she let out a sigh of excitement. As the tide came back in the young female cryo let it splash against her claws feeling the coolness as she entered walking deeper where she could touch the bottom, it was definitely worth the walk here.  Submerging her body she let the water hug her dry scales as she splashed around playfully watching others enjoy the water allowing them to escape from the hot sun as it beat down on the island. This was much better than the jungle where she typically called home but sometimes you needed a relaxing day at the beach. After while in the ocean water she was all cool , it was now getting late and the walk to the jungle was a far one so it was time for her relaxing fun packed day to come to an end. 

“ Till next time Beach” Taiga said as she left the water walking past her sand castle with a smile across her jaws.
