The hot sun rays blasted the island as the hot summer had taken over the island with many trying to hide or take cover from the blistering heat but others were enjoying the weather and that being one of the many semi aquatic dinosaurs like Alistair. The small black and colorful herbivore had just woken up from a nap not too far from the reef where he had grown up and had a lot planned today. He was planning on going to the island's beach to spend some time there to enjoy the warm heat.

“ How long was I out for, I am going to miss out on so much!” he clacked with his small bill before scurrying to the water not too far from where he was resting. Alistair loved the warm weather that the summer brought for the island and he was always out and never hiding, and today was no different for the young herbivore.

With that he was off swimming in the cool water playfully jumping in the waves as he swam towards the beach, coming up for air as he went back down diving into the water passing by the many tide pools spotting all the tropical fish. Alistair had soon surfaced from the water shaking out his feathers seeing the golden sandbanks of the beach watching many other dinosaurs who had decided to come down to enjoy the beaches themselves which made him call out in excitement, it wasn’t just him at the beach today which would be alot more fun for him.

“Whoa look at every dinosaur down here, so many new faces!” Alistair squeaked out once more before jumping out of the water as he made his way up to the beach to get a closer look for himself. The young herbivore made his way to the sand as he flopped feeling the heat on his flippers. He had some plans to collect shells while he was enjoying his time down here but first it was to bask on the sand to dry off enough and maybe build some things in the sand.

“Look at all these shells, and all the sand I could build so many cool things” He said to himself as he looked around on the sand picking up them in his bill as he placed them on his feathers on his back, keeping them balanced on him as he kept going. Seeing the many others enjoying the beach made the colorful Alistair happy as he waved at others who passed by him, many of the other fisher dinosaurs were using the water as a playful way to cool down from the heat.

Alistair kept collecting shells as he made his way down the beach enjoying the sun's rays on his black feathers with his glittering colors shining against them. This was the life and Alistair loved it, but it was enough of enjoying the heat and it was time to cool down in the water. Placing the shells in a little area he dug out , Alistair soon headed back towards the water for some time to splash around and explore the tide pools the beach had to offer.

“I wonder what things I will find around here, there is so much to explore and see” Alistair said as he dove into the incoming tide wave feeling the cool water take over his feathers. Seeing many of the tropical fish swimming around the colorful coral that littered the sandy ocean floor, Alistair chased them around playfully as he blew bubbles at them before letting out laughs with his bill.

“Man some of these look funny, but so pretty and colorful just like me” he squeaked out before swimming towards the surface and jumping out of the water playfully falling back in, before letting out a sigh of being content as he looked up at the blue sky floating on his back.

“What a good way to spend time at the beach” he muttered to himself as he turned around before making his way towards the shore to collect his shells he had collected throughout the day, he had enjoyed his day and it was time to head home for the young herbivore. Getting to the shore he found his shells and collected them in his bill before waving at some passing sucho’s he had seen before as he headed back towards the water.

“Well till next time at the beach, it was a fun day and I even got to collect something that will let me remember” He mumbled happily to himself as he finally headed back into the water and started to swim back to his home a bit away from the beach but far enough he had to do the swim. He would be returning to the beach more often but that was enough today for Alistair.
