Waves splashed against the rocks that hugged around the island just offshore from the large vast beach that surrounded it, with the sound of heavy footsteps squashing against the soft sand. Black and blue feathers gleamed in the sunlight as blue eyes watched the ground as she walked, it was Artorias a shuno who was on a mission to explore the Costal caves of the island and to help out the shopkeeper who had given her a task earlier in the day and flew off before giving any explanation but besides the fact she chose to take the task to herself and help out.

Although the large herbivore wasn’t to keen about walking on the beaches or coastal areas she decided she would need to suck it up besides the caves weren’t far from where she was, shaking out her feathers she sighed before walking down the sandy banks that led out to a more open costal area.

“I wonder why the shopkeeper wants things from out here?, such an odd request, guess I was around at the wrong time” she mumbled to herself as she spotted a cave up ahead that branched off into various smaller pathways of rocky walls. Leaning down Artorias looked around in the much smaller costal rocky caves that were short and not to big because trying to fit herself in was almost impossible due to being so massive she felt her shoulders tighten and feathers somewhat ruffle against the rough surface before backing up and looking around for a much larger cave entrance.

The costal caves ran vast across the edge of the island with the ocean slamming against their rocky surfaces and it was the first time that Artorias had ever ventured this far and she didn’t even know the coast had caves like this until she was sent on this odd adventure by the shopkeeper. Her footprints left in the sand behind her as she continued on heading to what it looked like was a much larger cave entrance that had sharp rocks hanging from the entrance almost making it look like a mouth.

“I guess i'll try this way, seems a lot bigger for myself and looks promising with stuff I can bring back for the shopkeeper” she mumbled to herself as she walked forwards swaying her tail behind her as she approached the cave entrance as the cool air hit her making her feathers stand on edge as she ducked her head low to get into the cave. The cave floor was wet and had some plant growth followed by some shells that Artorias noted for later that she would grab on her way out, water droplets hitting her feathers as she moved further in.

“Wow look at all this sea life plant growth in here I wonder if they would use these” As she leaned down sniffing them before picking them up in her mouth and placing them behind her for grabbing later for when she left the caves but for now they were there for safe keeping. Deeper into the cave it got narrow but Artorias managed to squeeze herself in as she walked out into a large cavern type area that had some ocean water that lay peacefully in a rocky pool, it was full of colorful rocks in the bottom along with more trinkets that were stashed around as if someone was collecting them.

Artorias looked around as she stood still taking in the beauty of the cavern that was hidden in the coastal cave, walking forwards she stepped in some old twine that seemed to look like it was once a net at some point which would be another good item to bring back to the shopkeeper.

Artorias was taken back by all the hidden gems in here and now understood why the shopkeeper had sent her and she was glad she ran into them at the time because she would have missed out on everything that was hidden in the costal caves and it was a new experience for the shuno who didn’t tend to venture far into the beach and coastal areas.

As she continued to look around and explore she picked up various trinkets she thought would be good for the shopkeeper and stored them on her back in her feathers. Once she felt content she took one last look at the pool with the stones before heading back outside of the cave, squeezing back through with ease as she leaned down picking up the plants she had picked earlier.

“What a hidden gem back here in these caves, I always wondered why others enjoyed the costal areas of the island, now I understand why!” She said out loud before coming back into the main area of the cave she had first entered into before when she came in. Various stones sat on the cave floor that glimmered with wet water on top of them, she tilted her head before nudging a few with her feet to kick them slowly over to the way she was going, these would work great for what she needed them for.

“This should be enough I think, well I hope so” Artorias said before ducking under the sharp rocks that hung from the entrance before leaning down and grabbing the rocks and placing them on her back where everything else sat. As she walked around she continued to explore the much smaller caves by sticking her head inside them using her long neck but not sticking in them long as some had not to happy crabs that used them as homes.

The waves seemed to calm down with the tide coming in as the once sandy area she stood on was now wet as the water began to fill in, it was time to head back to the shopkeeper and unload her findings that they had asked for. Artorias smiled as she headed back towards where the shopkeeper had set up shop for the season, but it seemed like they weren't there like the first time.

“Shopkeeper!, I am back with the things you asked for quickly earlier , where are you Shopkeeper?” Artorias called out looking around for the small oviraptor but they were nowhere to be found which made the shuno confused. Shrugging it off she began placing the items down near the stand carefully making sure nothing broke on her adventures back as she shook out her feathers now happy with her findings.

“Well I hope this will work for you, Please let me know if you need anything else!” She called out once more but still no answer from the shopkeeper which made Artorias worry slightly but she was sure they were just out and would come back later for the items. Before beginning to walk away the female shuno turned back around before eyeing one stone she had grabbed and loved from her costal cave adventure and a small piece of the old net she had found.

“I am just gonna take a small item with me to remember the caves!” quickly taking the items and taking one final look at the shopkeepers stand and nodding at the items she had found out on her adventures to the caves.
