"I'm lost. I'm lost I'm lost I'm lost..."
Mako is panicking.
"I'm lost...I swear I heard that Dacen say it was near here..."
He spies a gap through the wall. That has to be it. I have to try it! he thinks as he stumbles his way through. Trying to find my way deeper and deeper into the ruins by myself was the stupidest idea I've ever had. Yet he wanders on.

Through the gap, he sees a fleck of light and follows it.....and comes across a gaggle of huge Acrocanthosaurus.
He freezes. There are three of them hanging around a broken wall chatting between themselves. Before he can think of a way to stealithy walk past them, or to turn tail and run, the huge one sitting down turns her big black eyes onto Mako.

They take one look at him and...

Explode into laughter?

What's so funny? He thinks, as he stands in shock. Five more massive heads poke out into the dim light and stare at him. They all look amused, not aggressive.

The big female stops laughing. "You- managed to get past those angry Dacens? You're tiny." the rest of them giggle a bit. "What are you doing here, so down in the dark, so dangerous?"

"I'm on an adventure." He doesn't want to say more. He's surprised they're not all ganging up on him yet. It's only a matter of ti-

"I can take you further down." One of them offers but he's still suspicious.
"My name is Quinn." She introduces every one of her friends one by one.
"You can trust us. Well, me atleast. I know the way down further. We are not interested in eating you. We heard the door has opened outside. Are there more of you, little one?"

Mako almost doesn't want to answer, but he faces his fear.
"Y-Yes....There are more of us on the surface. More than you can imagine down here. There are trees that grow higher than these walls and lakes that are wider than these cages. You don't want to eat me. There is larger better tastier prey than I!"
They don't need any further convincing, as they immediately lunge and run right past him, right through he gap he walked through. Quinn stands there, waiting for Mako to follow.
