The island was quiet as the past few days had been rainy with storms and heavy winds raging through the large vast forests that provided somewhat of cover for those who thought it would be a good place to wait it out. The sound of movement echoed through a small forest area as the color of white pale scales with dark hollow eyes had popped its head out chewing on a leaf taking in the area around them. Two much smaller shuno’s angered from behind Prometheus and it was Romulus & Lapis, they were now all juvenile’s and often stuck to the thick lush forests to mask their scent along with it provided a great area to hide in while the adults in the herd stuck close by feeding on the large trees but stuck far enough away to not draw predators near the young calves.

It had been a couple months since the death of Lapis's mother and the other two coming close to death by the jaws of Geiger and they had rejoined the herd after the incident with all three being aware of their surroundings all the time now. As the rain grew heavier the young calves from the herd just used the day to eat and bulk up which they would need as they grew day by day, with Lapis and Romulus playing around with the large leaves as Prometheus stood watch and opted out of the play with the two girls.

“Come on Romulus You can’t catch me!, look at all these leaves we need to collect so many” Lapis said as she stomped around with Romulus chasing behind her playfully as they rushed past Prometheus who was chewing away at the leaves in his mouth before yelling at the two annoyed.

“You guys need to slow down, you make too much noise. I'm trying to eat here! And you should be too” He said, following behind them slowly making sure to keep an eye on the two as they weren’t too bright with being aware of their surroundings. As Romulus and Lapis kept playing around they went further into the forest where the rain was a bit thicker being able to get in between the large trees, which wasn’t a good ideas as they were now on their own just the three and not with the safety of the other calves which equaled safety in numbers.

Further and deeper into the forest past the area they usually stuck to and not knowing the dangers that lurked around every corner. Lapis and Romulus were wandering into a unfamiliar area that happened to be the territory of another large acro who wasn’t to keen on strangers nor would he pass up a easy meal for himself but for now the two giggled and played around stomping on the wet leaves that littered the ground still unaware of the gray feathers and glowing red markings that sat motionless behind them, one red eye watching and another pale without movement.

Prometheus had lost sight of Lapis and Romulus which made him stop his hunt for food and finding the two was now his priority, as he began to call out their names trying to catch up to them also unaware of the dangers that lurked right under them now in view.

“Romulus! Lapis! You are going to get lost and it's dangerous where did you guys stomp off too”  He said to himself as he looked around shaking off the rain from his pale scales before stopping as he heard them giggling which meant he was close to the two.

Lapis and Romulus had stopped to catch their breath with giggling as the two looked around the forest as the rain began to calm itself, but it was still dark out and hard to see what lurked around. Lapis stopped as she looked up in awe at the large leaves that covered the forest in a canopy like way before she spoke to Romulus who was wandering to a fallen log before she heard the sound of Prometheus getting closer as she rolled her eyes.

“Romulus, look at all the big trees! They are massive! And oh I think I hear Prometheus” Lapis said as she stepped closer to the sleeping acro as she was too busy taking everything in and the sound of Prometheus as she stepped on some fears that then had slow movement with rumbling coming from behind her.

The once sleeping eyes now shot open as a large figure stood to his feet with the sound of growling coming from its jaws as the red markings that glew in the night now flashed with a red glow as Prometheus saw the large carnivore rise in front of Romulus and Lapis who were too stunned to move. The carnivore was a large acro known by the name of Turok and he had now got the scent of the young calves as he let out a hiss “Who dare wakes me, Oh would you look at this free food” he growled the stomping from his weight shook the ground as he lowered his face down towards Romulus and Lapis to get a better look at them.

Lapis and Romulus froze as they moved backwards trying to keep their back towards the acro who now was circling them, Lapis remembering the time when her mother fought Geiger before dying in the battle to save them. 

“Stay back! Don’t make us use our tails watch your teeth” Lapis honked at Turok who was growling trying to circle the two young calves annoyed that his nap was disturbed by them, with Prometheus sticking quiet behind them as he looked for a spot to get in a attack without Turok noticing he was there. 

Letting out a growly laugh he snapped his jaws at them before speaking “Oh you are a fighter you two, it’s going to make it much more fun to eat you up” and with a quick lift of her tail Lapis whacked Turok in the jaws before giving off a smile of achievement before seeing Turok turn his head back around with hiss opening his jaws wide.

And with a quick dash Prometheus launched himself into the side of Turok knocking the hulking acro a bit before looking at Lapis and Romulus and telling them to run! But Lapis and Romulus had another idea for the giant as Romulus held her tail back far before unleashing a blow to Turok’s leg making him hiss out in pain.

“ there are three of you pesky herbivores” he hissed and growled before seeing the trio stomp off quickly back towards their safety area they were in before as Prometheus ranted to them the entire way about the dangers but the three had once again had overcome the dangers of the world that lurked around every corner.
