Brick | Zhetan

The sun was hurriedly descending on the sky, already obscured behind other of these tall structures. Tall man-made boxes that reached towards the sky, some he could swear were taller than any tree he ever saw. They all seemed to have holes in them, but as they had noticed when getting closer to one the holes had some transparent field that stopped anyone, or thing, from entering. It reminded him of crystals, but Cant had called the weird field “glass”. A human relic, like most of the structures here. Unnatural and angular. Brick found it all fascinating. Of Course he had heard of these humans, and how they were all gone now, but he grew up far from the developed areas and had never actually seen anything like it before. He and Camille almost rivaled each other with their curiosity of this new, weird place. Wonder mixed with some kind of sense that it felt wrong. Just angular and unnatural, but also intriguing. Structures that rose above them like tall walls, boxing them in. As light dwindled he spotted another building, but this one situated in a more open area, with some kind of park with a statue, cascading water, in front of it. Big double doors with more of those glass covered holes. The building was lower than the others in the area, and being fenced in like this made it feel more important, why or how he couldn’t quite say. But he bet there would be something interesting in there the shopkeep might like. This would be their last stop before actually handing over the things they had found on their lil journey, and as much as he had complained, mostly in his own mind, he found that he had enjoyed it so far. Maybe he even was a little bit sad that it would end.
Bet I can get there first” he challenged the young Utah with a low voice, a smirk nestled in the corner of his lips, before taking off before she had a chance to reply. His feet thundered against the man-made ground that replaced what should be soft soil. It was harder, almost like rock, but flat. It was hard on his feet, not at all dampening as much as soil, but gave him better traction. Maybe he should have been letting their daughter win, but he felt weirdly competitive, and really rushed with his full speed, hoping his little dirty play would land him the win.

Kassadin & Camille | AberrantKapro

Kassadin was relieved as they left the wetlands, finally. Not too far from it they found a weird place, an old, abandoned area full of old buildings. He had never seen such things before, but he had heard of them. Some weird creatures called humans used to live here, and they looked nothing like themselves from what he had seen in some old pictures scattered around the island. Surely they could find something fun here, if not at least something useful, he hoped. It was of course a possibility that some other dino had been here before them.

He managed to find some roll that he had seen the shopkeeper keep around, bandages, the oviraptor had called them. They were very very useful to dress wounds, from what he had been told, so he made sure to grab it to carry with them back.

As they slowly walked along the unnatural paths, Brick would challenge their daughter to a race. Kassadin looked over at the young utah who shrieked in disbelief as her father started ahead of her. “Not fair!!” she yelled and started running after him. Kassadin chuckled as he looked over at the other two with a warm smile.

“Aren’t they cute?” he asked them, despite already knowing that they would agree.

Camille was so excited that she had been challenged by her father that she could barely contain herself, she almost dropped all the flowers and roots she had found, but knowing they needed the things she held on as best as she could. She could catch up to her father’s thundering steps surprisingly fast on this ground, it wasn’t as pleasant as the dirt she was used to, but it helped give her an extra spurt of speed each step she took off.

Despite being young and not having reached her full potential yet, she somehow, just barely, managed to pass her father and make it to the building before him. A victory chirp left the young utah as she spun in a circle, still holding the roots and hemlock tight. She quickly collected herself from her victory to look around for more things. She found some weird, red stick that she had seen the shopkeeper keep around, so she grabbed it. She had no idea what it was for, but surely it was something handy! She excitedly showed it off to Brick, seeing as he was currently the only one near her due to their little race.

“I found this thing.” she said with a smile so wide that all her sharp teeth were showing.

Cant had taken a somewhat of a lead towards the buildings. There were many around them but one that stood out to all of them. The building was so much bigger than the rest of them. It could easily fit them, not so that they walked beside each other but if they walked behind each other they could make it through the hallways with ease. He was talking about the glass. He was a bit more knowledge than the rest and he did enjoy teaching them about all the different human things. Now he had been taught most of it from other dinosaurs so his information was mostly correct. But when he was wrong, he was quite wrong.

“The humans liked to put the glass on the buildings so that birds couldn’t just fly in through their view holes.” He nodded as he spoke. Fell and the others listened intently. He wasn’t right per say. But he wasn’t entirely wrong either. There were just some parts of what he knew that was mixed up and told wrong. The glass was not explicitly for birds, but it sure functioned to keep them out. And sure, the holes in the walls that held the windows could be considered viewholes because the humans used them to view the outside through. But it wasn’t completely right. It was right in a way like an apple could be a football. You could kick it and it would work but soon enough it would be completely useless. It wasn’t the intended use of an apple but it wasn’t illegal.

Fell was walking behind Kassadin when Brick and Camille decided to rush of and play. It was impressive to see the big styra rush through a building like that. The entire floor felt as if it was shaking under their feet every time the styra hit the ground with its feet. Fell and Cant both smiled and let out a laugh. It was a well needed laugh after their travels. They could hear the utah yell after him as they ran around.

“I do hope he doesn’t let her win this time.” Fell laughed as he spoke. “She needs to learn to lose as well.”

“If we want her to win I can race her next.” Cant added to the conversation as his legs gave a timed crack. They had clearly waited for the perfect moment. Cant couldn’t help but to slowly lay down in the big hallway. He had to rest his legs for a bit. He lifted his head to nudge both Kassadin and Fell as they passed him by to give him some extra space to stretch out.

Fell started to walk around and look at all the posters. Some of them almost looked like them, but they were slightly off. It looked like something imitating a styra. The legs were shorter and the horns were much bigger. It also looked as if they were entirely made of bone. No muscles at all.
