Personality and Life: Glass’ egg is found by the then-loner Boreas when the older male was in his late adolescence, and he takes her under his nonexistent wings. He names her glass because of her pale coloring, and she grows up obsessed with her namesake, as well as other shinies. Because Glass is Boreas’ first ward, he is quite soft on her, and she begins to develop a domineering and entitled personality, and thinks she can always get what she wants, because usually she can.

In her own late adolescence, she and Boreas have a run-in with their neighbor, Ketla, which sparks Glass to permanently break her path away from Boreas. She hangs around Ketla for a few months, striking up a strange friendship- and a mutual arrangement of exchanging the shinies they find in their explorations.

As she grows older and more physically domineering, she builds herself a small clan around her, composed out of her offspring. Due to being raised singly by boreas, she doesn’t see a long term mate as something she needs, and anyone she has hatchlings with is quickly and briskly kicked out of the picture. Her hatchlings are treated well, if not fairly, but she likes to try to control every aspect of their lives- not out of deliberate maliciousness, but simply because she believes it will keep them safer, though her underlying belief that everything around her should bend to her will also plays a part in this. This also results in her lashing out if things don’t go her way, or if a situation gets out of her control.

This stifling environment leads to her hatchlings responding in different ways. Fracture takes on a role as an older brother figure that the other hatchlings look to as a bit of a reprieve from their mothers presence, though he resents that he has to fill this role, and as he grows he increasingly finds ways to excape for periods of time,  and is the only one to truly escape their mothers sphere of influence. Glass also plays favorites, and her treasured child, Belltoll, isn’t above using his mother's favor to get what he wants, including brief escapes from her control. This leads to him being ostracized from the rest of his siblings, who are jealous of the favor he holds.

When she begins to decline in years, and some her hatchlings have moved away to break free of her hold, she builds up an antagonistic relationship with the defeated tyrant Tyche, who is at this point too feeble to inflict real damage, which means their fights boil down to passive-aggressive snark-fests. Some of her children still remain with her or in the same area as her, and she relies on them for most things, preferring to not hunt if she can get her kids to do it for her. Fracture has made a full break and lives a separate life, but Belltoll finds himself still lingering, and will do so until his mother dies of old age
