Notable Traits
A mountain of a styracosaur, a heavy-built battering ram. She has a longer, thicker tail than most styras. The tip of her nose horn is broken off, and she bears several scars over her body. Most are hidden by feathers.

Interactions
With poor eyesight, Hekla often has trouble initially identifying friend from foe. She will often react violently to being surprised, and won’t apologise for it after.

She has a miniscule level of tolerance for carnivores, and would sooner chase them off than suffer their presence.

While she doesn’t mind company, she’s not hugely talkative, and prefers action of words.

History

Hekla was separated from her birth parents when she was very young. Not long after, she was found and adopted by a kindly, older male named Cedar who took her into the jungles of Isla Pera where he raised her. She would outgrow the jungle, tiring of getting tangled in the undergrowth, and traveled on her own before realising she missed the company of other styras.

She joined a migratory herd of styras known as the Ashwalkers, and proved herself a defender worthy of their ranks.

It was with the Ashwalkers that she would meet her cousin Primrose - part of her real, biological family. It gave her even more reason to stay with the herd, and even greater purpose to fight to defend the herd whenever trouble came up.
