Notable Traits
An intimidating presence with his typically stoic, stony expression. There is a carpet of long, grey spines along his lower spine and tail, which he can raise and lower at will. His hide is marked with a scattering of scars.

Interactions
Every decision that Greylander makes, he tries to make in the Ashwalker herd’s best interest. Any losses to the herd he takes very seriously, which can bring him down quite severely.

Conversations with him tend to be on the shorter side, with rough, coarse, and blunt responses.

He has a no-tolerance policy for carnivores, and will try to chase them off on-sight.

History

Greylander was a grumpy old man from the moment he hatched. He acted as a peacekeeper with his siblings, and often stepped in to break up fights. Growing up with his father meant that their strong personalities clashed, and he left Odysseyr. He found himself in the company of his brother Smoketrail and the two traveled together, never staying in one place for too long.

Their first winter was spent in the shadow of one of Pera’s volcanoes, where the ground was warmer, and they found company with other herbivores. They stuck together during the winter, and parted ways come spring.

They helped other herbivores as they traveled, gaining a reputation amongst herbivores. A few decided that it was in their best interest to travel with the brothers, and with some counsel from Smoketrail, Greylander relented.

The herd became known as the “Ashwalkers,” those who live and travel across the Ashlands, where they spend most of their time, but it wasn’t until Greylander was challenged for leadership and won that he truly embraced the role with Smoketrail as his second in command.

The chaos caused by the wildfires and tremors caused great strife for the herd, and tested Greylander’s leadership once again. He is doing everything he can to keep the peace, as always.

Fun Facts:

• Scales on the bottoms of his feet are tough and thick, and he almost seems impervious to the extreme temperatures when walking across hot coals
