Boonsong is an example of a dinosaur who has yet to reach her full potential. She hatched small, and carries with her the marks of her illness in her weight and height. She's small, compared to the rest of her family, and with very little stamina, she tires quickly.

Notable Traits: The markings on her face resemble her father's dimorphic marking, though a smaller, fragmented version. Her ribs are somewhat visible, and she appears to be sickly very often. Her horns curve backwards slightly.

Personality
Boonsong is confident that whatever the world throws at her, she can take care of it herself - until she can't, which is often. But she's damn well going to try before she lets anyone do something for her. She can have a bit of an attitude when she's tired or if pushed, but is generally quite amiably and easy to get along with. She sees beauty in a lot of things, and has an astounding amount of patience for dealing with new dinos, learning something new, and hunting. She cannot stand to be patronized, and attempting to console her for something she already knows, or telling her how to do something she already knows how to do, is a one-way ticket to being snapped at.

History & Relations
Boonsong's arrival to the world was less of a bang and more of a whisper. She hatched small, and it was evident that she was weak. Cribo and Krait loved her all the same, though, and did everything that they could to give her the best start to her life that was possible. If they felt any disappointment that their first child was so small and stunted, they hid it well.

Despite her parents' care, she fell ill - often. When other young carnos in the pack were running around, she was sleeping off some new sickness. She struggled to eat very much, and tired quickly whenever she did manage to join other hatchlings with games.

It became evident that she'd never be able to keep up with other members of the pack in the way that a normal, healthy carnotaur would be able to. When she grew older and strong enough to begin to contribute, she worked hard to earn her place in the pack. With every obstacle that was presented to her, though, she overcame it. When she got sick, she eventually got better. When she realised that she couldn't hunt over long distances, she learned how to sit and wait. When she was teased for the mask that so resembled her father's, she learned how to show others that she had her limits, and going too far would end with a swift kick to the stomach - or worse.

Though she's small, there's little doubt in anyone's mind that Boonsong has earned her place in the pack. At the very least, she's earned the affections of Gaboon, the pack's leader - and her grandfather. Whenever he gives her praise, her eyes shine just a little more. Wisp, one of the other young members of the pack, seems just as impressed, though it doesn't seem to take much to impress him. He's sweet, but not very bright.

There is one member, though, that she can never seem to be on the good side of - her aunt, Boomslang. Boonsong is actually a little afraid of the small carno and her notorious temper, and does her best to stay out of her aunt's path whenever possible.

Though she is largely recovered from the illnesses that struck her when she was a hatchling, she still falls ill from time to time and must take time to recover, ranging from a few days to over a week. She often pushes herself extra hard after these long bouts of sickness, leading into a brief relapse before she can properly help around the pack once again.

Fun Facts:

  • Boonsong is astoundingly fast, but can only run for short distances before she tires and must spend several hours recovering
  • Her colour and patterning makes her an excellent hunter in the mountains, where she can blend into her surroundings for hours before she bursts out of hiding to chase down her prey
  • She is still somewhat sensitive of the bone-like marking on her face, knowing that it is unusual to present her father's mark, but has grown to wear it with some pride - it marks her as his daughter, nothing more, and nothing less
