338: Eclipse

Eclipse was a bit of a bully in his youth but grew to be stoic, courageous, and protective. He's largely silent and is known mostly for his intimidating bellows that echo across the plains during rutting season or in a fight with a foe. Aside from that, he is a sty of few words. Nowadays, he's trailed by a poofy young styracosaurus called Tanami. Eclipse found her while foraging one day, and she stuck to him like glue. At first he considered the clingy youngster to be a bit of a pest, but still found himself going out of his way to keep her safe. Now, he happily watches over Tanami and follows her on her excursions of curiosity, often needing to dart after her to keep her from toddling off a cliff or wandering into carnotaurus territory. He's frightfully protective over her, so much so that if any harm were to come to her, the perpetrator better have thought out their last will well beforehand.

He's a big dude. Very large. 'Uge. Built like a buffalo. His frill and nasal horns are considerably shorter than that of the average styracosaurus, save for the second pair down on the top of his crest coming off one of the "rays" of his dimorphic.
