After experiences in her youth, Duskbloom learns the secret to making fire at one's will, provided one has the materials needed. It's a secret she guards jealously, especially since she uses it as a tool of trade. She'll happily take relic bones or food in exchange for the use of her fire, or for a higher fee, a stick of fire. Common exchanges are smoked fish and meat, roasted squash, and other delicacies. Other exchanges she'll offer is wood meeting her criterion in exchange for fire-made goods. She's found that certain trees make good smoked meats, and is always on the hunt for it.

Her home is in a stone cave near the shore, but above any major flooding risks. Her first experiments with fire taught her the importance of having fire resistant surroundings. Namely, setting multiple bushes on fire.
