The day is warm and breezy, and you decide to take a walk through the forest for a breath of fresh air. Midway through your hike, you hear crashing in the canopy above. It's quite a shock when an egg strikes you right on the head as it tumbles down! It seems some greedy predator tried to make off with an egg larger than they could carry. You take a closer look at the egg, certain it would have cracked or broken during its fall, but it seems that the thick shell has protected it well. Except for that crack that just appeared... and another...
