Pronounced "ehh-kwiss". By the way, her design is asymmetrical! Not to mention her left hind foot, her tail patch is shaped a bit differently on her right side.

A quiet & reserved girl, Equus has a rather cold exterior & tends not to be very good with emotions but cares about her clutchmates more than anything! She's got an analytical mind & is good at inferring details, theorizing & finding clever ways to do things; she doesn't often sense or perceive anything without paying any mind to what it could mean. Because of this, however, she has trouble staying focused on just one thing for very long. It's really easy for her to get distracted by something she heard, saw or smelled & end up totally off course from what she was planning to do just a few minutes ago.

Being so intensely thoughtful & perceptive of everything also means Equus gets overwhelmed easily & is prone to overthinking. Equus gets anxious around strangers & mostly sticks to her clutchmates, as they're the only ones she's really comfortable with. Equus always tended to be more on the serious side, not joking or playing around nearly as much as her clutchmates even when she was little. It's not like she never liked to play at all; she just preferred to lay back & keep watch most of the time, always wary of potential dangers in the woods & liking to take the time to ponder things by herself.
