A small, feathery creature, Ignis is thin for his species. This is mostly thanks to his diet of mostly burnt meat, which is not great for his health. Because of this his feathers are slighly greasy and matted in places, and a fine layer of ash tends to cover him. This, as well as the bright firey markings across his body, gives him the apperance of living lava taken wing. Ignis is easy to identify- especially when he carries a lit branch in his mouth. When flying at night all that is visable are the bright markings on his body, serving as a warning to all about just what it is he brings- flame and ash.

Personality
To put it bluntly, Ignis is quite unpleasent to be around. Harsh and rude, he is outright mocking to anyone who is not a fellow flyer- and even then, he berates them for their seemingly docile and peaceful nature, especially those that coexist with the land dwellers. Ignis thinks very little of most if not all who are not him- he has a special disgust for those who live upon the ground, viewing them as lesser while secretly resenting their power and hardyness. Ignis is very birdlike in his personality compared to most of his kind, sharing many behaviors and habits with modern birds.

Ignis is also a terrible enemy to have. Those who get on his ire are unable to reach him from the sky, and while Ignis is unable to physically attack, he has a powerful weapon. Using fire from the ashlands, Ignis has learnt how to light sticks on fire and start a fire with them similar to firehawks. Because of his ability to simply fly away, Ignis has had great success with this. He has already started many small fires across the islands, but longs to create a flame so big it burns the island to ash and leaves only the flyers to rule.

History:
A lab born tapejara, Ignis belonged to one of the earlier experiments before the project was abandoned. Having a much higher amount of bird DNA than most other tapejaras, he was deemed a failure and resealed soon after he was born. When he woke up, many years later sometime after the others of his kind, it was to the sound of cracking bones. Ignis opened his eyes to see the cryo unit next to him broken open, a monstorus theropod with a crest on its head consuming one of his still frozen batchmates. The other pods had already met this fate- Ignis only survived to wake up because the theropod broke his pod's wiring in its attempt to reach the other tapejara. Horrified, Ignis fled from his pod, but was chased after by the monster. Unable to fly from his abrupt awakening, the only reason Ignis survived was because the intense chase started a small eletrical fire from the remains of his pod. The fire horribly burnt what turned out to be a cryolophosaurus and scared it off, leaving Ignis with the secret to defeating even the biggest of creatures.

Ignis quickly escaped the labratory, teaching himself to fly and escaping into the air. He quickly found a home in the ashlands, and trained himself to light branches on fire and carry them as a weapon. He soon became infamous across the islands as the burning shadow, dropping flaming branches from the sky that could quickly turn into roaring fires. Those who see him coming attempt to duck into cover, hoping to avoid his notice. Years later he still has a grudge against cryolophosaurus, and will attempt to burn them down as soon as he catches notice of their existance.

Other Info/Traits: 
- Very clever. Takes after magpies in this regard- he is able to count and use tools.
- His heavily feathered wings give him almost silent flight, and on top of that he is faster than the average member of his kind.
- His dinosaur kill count is unknown, but he has one.
- Almost exclusivly eats meat, usually the burnt victms of the fires he makes. Ignis claims this "adds to the flavor."
