774: Cupid

To be frank, Cupid is vain and a bit selfish. He can be manipulative, but he doesn’t do it to be cruel; he’s just lazy, and likes to make others do the hard work for him. He’d rather spend all day preening than soil his feathers out on a hunt, and because of this- and the fact he is quite squeamish and physically unimpressive- he largely scavenges for his food. He is a bit insufferable, really, except when he’s intentionally trying to put on the charm for someone he finds interesting or attractive -- and then he becomes a completely different creature, friendly and silver-tongued and even quite fetching.

He’s not great mate material, though. He isn’t exactly the type of raptor to settle down, and his tastes can be a little... eccentric. It isn’t normally his preference for males that gets him into trouble, but the fact that Cupid’s attraction is not strictly limited to raptors. Or carnivores.
