Game Updates 2/16/2023
Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by UriWe have recently completed some minor updates to both this website and our Weebly! This is a bit of a boring update, but an update nonetheless!
Weebly Updates:
- Renamed the "Informational" tab to "Game Info" and made it into a dropdown
- Renamed the "Informational" tab to "Game Info" and made it into a dropdown
- Added the existing Quality Standards & Split Entries Guides into the Game Info dropdown
- Deleted the the Tracker Guide, and the Item Archive Pages (they still exist on the archived clone site)
- Separated out the Lore and Map info into its own separate "Lore" dropdown
- Named the existing "Lore" page to "Story", so that theres not two tabs called Lore
- Added more currency information to the EXP & Currency Guide
- Added updated info on how to level dinos to the EXP & Currency Guide
- Slightly rewrote parts of the EXP guide to clarify info and relate things back to the lorekeeper site. Info is the same, just reworded
- Removed the "setting up your tracker" info from the EXP page
- Changed the roman numerals on the rules into normal numbers; the rules themselves are untouched
- Import Checklist rewritten in some parts; removed references to old journals, old eye rules, and replaced with links to the site and info about the site's uploading process
- Updated the Rules on the Import Resources page; removed the "do not shade the eyes" rule, and added a line about the background
- Removed the Blank Import Info Template, and replaced it with steps on how to upload imports on the site
- Separated out the genetics/import/breeding tab into "Import Resources" and "Design Resources" drop downs
- Added several existing guides to their respective drop down menus. No new guides have been added
- Renamed the "Genetics" page to "Marking Info & Ranges" (marking info is unchanged)
- Renamed "things to do" tab to "activities"
- Updated the link on the Newbie Egg page
- Updated a link on the Adoption Center page
- Removed links to the dA activity journals on the different quest pages
- Added corresponding site links to activity pages
- Removed old hunting/foraging/adventure quest descriptions and added the new quest descriptions from the site
- Updated Homepage (WIP)
- Updated Newbie Guide
- Updated Quality Standards Page; Added "3 element rule", new examples for acceptable shading and backgrounds to help users identify what we are looking for
- New Base Transfer Guide
- Added Makeover Guide
- New Illegal Dinosaur/Base Guide
- Replaced outdated marking examples and added new marking examples to: Dock, Monster, Roan, Rosette, Royal, Saddle, Siamese, Sleeves, Starred, Striped, Tabby and Tapir
Lorekeeper Updates:
- -Added “This change is permanent and cannot be undone with the use of a Makover Formula or other items.” to several items: Strange Stew, Herb Paste, Gingerroot,
- -Added to Bitterroot description “Bitteroot also applies to Minimal Markings and Parallel Dimorphic Applicator.
- Added to RMA Applicator description “Only 1 may be applied per dino. You cannot have the random marking re-rolled by applying another.”
- Added to Skin Modifier Description “This item will also revert a dinosaur who posesses a Variant back to the basic form of that Variant. [Ie: Crested Variant --> Feathered, Spiked --> Bald, etc.] If a user wishes to both revert a dinosaur back to a basic type and change the basic type [Ie: Crested --> Bald], they will have to purchase 2. Changes cannot be undone; if user wishes to revert back to the original covering, they will have to purchase another Skin Modifier Item or Variant Applicator if a Variant was removed.
- Added to Sex Changer “To undo this change, another Sex Changer must be applied. This item must be used alongside a Makeover Formula! ”
- Added to Noxious Newt “This change is permanent and cannot be undone with the use of a Makover Formula or other items; another Newt would have to be purchased to undo this action.”
- Added “Cannot stack with any other questing buffs!” to several items:Rat Companion, Bat Companion
- Added to Nest description:A nest is required to submit a breeding!
- Added to Mimic Frog and Mimic Butterfly Description “Cannot be used alongside Mimic Frog/Butterfly'!
- Added to Glowing Mushroom Description “You are not required to legalize a design or transfer it onto the new lineart if you use a Glowing Mushroom. Cannot be undone; a new Glowing Mushroom would have to be used to change the eye color again.
- Added to Makeover Formula Description “If a Makeover Formula is used, a user must legalize any illegal markings or features. This includes marking colors, shapes, edge-types, etc. The original base coat can remain the same, however, that too can be legalized to the base color in the imports description on this website. This includes adding in both sides of an import if the import is asymetrical if the import did not have it previously. If a Makeover Formula is used, a user must put the dinosaur's new design on the New Lineart; old linearts cannot be used with Makeover Formulas or any new imports. A Makeover Formula is not needed to remove Scar Applicators or Accessory Applicators. They also do not remove Minimal Markings.”
- Added to Parallel Dimorphic “A Makeover Formula can be used to change the Parallel Dimorphics look. A Makeover Formula must be used alongside a Parallel Dimorphic item.
- Added to Mood Lighting “Only 1 per breeding.”
- Added to Raw Opal “This item only applies to the Legal Base Color of the dinosaur chosen and cannot be used to pass down Illegal Base colors!”
- Added to Small Accessory Applicator, Small Scar Applicator, Large Marking Applicator “This item can be applied to imports on old linearts. This item does not require a makeover formula to apply. To remove, simply submit an Import Update without the applicator shown! Upon removal, the item will be deleted and not returned to the users inventory”
- Added Scar coverage %’s to Small Scar Applicator and Large Scar Applicator as well as links to the scar guide on the weebly
Item Updates:
- Skin Changer item can now be used to remove a variant and return a dinosaur back to the basic bald or feathered.
