The walk from the labs to Hawthornes Lake was long, especially for a hatchling, oh but it was so worth the trip. Sunny had never seen a lake before-- hell he hadn't really seen anything in nature before, be it he forest they'd just traversed to get there, or the mountains just barely obscured by the forest resting beyond the lake. All that resided in his memory were the faces of his siblings, the endlessly hum-buzz of harsh fluorescent lights, and the chill hard, of tiled flooring underfoot. Sundale had said something to Sunny, all the while their adoptive father Duck keeping a keen eye on the hatchlings, but to be honest Sunny wasn't listening... Far too transfixed by the beautiful lake.
