One of the final tests for young flock members was to undertake a great feat, to win the Stars', and by extension the flock's, favor. The kind of feat and how well each youngling performs determines their future place in the flock. By decree of the Stars Typhoon and Troubadour were paired up to perform their feat together.
Over the years Troubadour has grown to become a proficient singer, who's smooth voice count be heart for miles. Typhoon had only become more volatile, battling everything he saw, which grew his strength. The two decided on a fete that would highlight both their individual strengths, as well as demonstrate how far the two had grown and their ability to work together.

On a particularly stormy night, Typhoon took off into the heart of a raging ocean swell. To fly in the stormy seas was often a death wish for Tapejaras, who's small bodies couldn't compete with the turbulent winds. Typhoon wanted to prove he was different. Troubadour's body was no where near as strong as his flock mate, however, his voice was. As Typhoon flew into the winds his senses would be completely muffled by the wind and rain. Troubadour's job was to act as his guide, navigating him through the storm and back home to safety.

Onlookers watched as Typhoon disappeared into the stormy blackness, his glowing markings fading out until nothing could be seen. A moment passed, and suddenly Troubadour cried out with a special song. On cue, Typhoon emerged from the storm, soggy but none worse for wear, and the two returned to the safety of the shore. Their bond to each other proven for all to see.
