Both Ash and Kodiak remembered the day that she set out by herself. She was still young, far younger than most were as they left their family nests and moved on to pastures anew. But she had heard the calls, the beast roaring in the hills, said to await in the castle ruins. He-Who-Roared-Like-Thunder, they called him. Something made her leave, made her seek out the creature, and the first step to that was saying goodbye to the wonderful sucho she had called family.
