Adventure was always in Malachites blood, he couldn't ever be content just lazing around on the cargo containers within the same ol moss covered walls! There were adventures to be had, places to go, and things to see! A whole world out there to explore! Given the chance to join his mother, Mal all but leaped at the opportunity presented before him. He cheered in excitement, hollering in utter delight as he bounced in circles around Signe-- only to come to a stop when presented with his fathers heartbroken expression. Suddenly, Mal didn't know what to do... He wanted to go with his mother so badly it hurt, but yet... His heart ached seeing his father look at him like that, like he just lost his entire world. With guilt welling into an aching heart, Mal slowly turned and quietly followed his mother away from the shipyard...
