"Lagertha stumbles through the arid desert, one foot fall after another. it has been two days since she last had water. As she crests a rocky rising she catches that wonderful, amazing scent of life. Water.
She pushes onward, however the sun beats down on her aggressively; sapping away her strength. Legs quivering, sight wavering, Lagertha collapses into the sand and slowly, she fades.
When she wakes, the sun had set. She feels that familar sensation of water in her mouth, some dripping down her chin. opening her eyes, she sees another of her kind, a female. her head haloed by the moon.
"hello, do not be afraid- my name is Berit, let me help you"
For Lagertha, for just a moment, it felt as though time itself stopped just for them
