Malachite (second panel) sat in the snow with a heavy and tired sigh. Trying to hunt during the winter was never an easy task, though this year felt particularly difficult; as if any prey to exist just... poofed. Turning his nose upward preparing to sniff for any fading scent he could find, Malachite instead ended up finding a rather colorful and sparkly box dangling from its ribbon in the tree above him. How did THAT get there? Well... it wasn't prey but maybe the swimlings would enjoy whatever resided inside. If he could get it down first...
