Krait did not fully understand the workings of the world, sheltered as he was in the boughs of Zone B. He didn't fully understand why this stranger continued to make secret visits to him. But he enjoyed the company and the hushed conversations, and accepted this strange two-legged outsider as a friend.

Slightly older, with the scars to prove it, Cain had started his ascension into the world. Relationships being his stock and trade, he spent much of his time gathering allies; tools which were needed to survive. However, what good are tools that can be pointed back towards their wielder? Bonds needed to be forged to ensure his safety, and with some luck, to ensure he could point his tools in any direction he wanted
