Injuries

All hunting, foraging, and adventuring quests have a risk of injuring you character. Injuries impact your dinosaur's ability to successfully find loot and produce offspring, and can worsen if not healed between quests. It's recommended to not submit more than one submission per dinosaur at a time so if they do get injured, they are safe from worsening their injury. Having multiple submissions in the queue also risks having some submissions being rolled at lower rates if your dinosaur does happen to get injured before all of them are rolled.

You can view the status of your character by going to their profile and checking their status icon in the upper right, or clicking on the 'Status Effects' section in the left side bar!

Injury Stages & Effects

Mild
This is the first tier of injury which occurs when a healthy dinosaur becomes injured. Injured dinosaurs become unable to breed and will have lower rates for quest rewards.

Severe
This is the second tier of injury, which occurs when a dinosaur with a mild injury becomes injured again. Quest reward rates are lowered even more.

Impaired
This is the final tier of injury, which occurs when a dinosaur with a severe injury becomes injured again. Quest rewards worsen. Impaired dinosaurs can breed, but will have a negative effect on clutch size.

Dinosaurs will only receive one tier of injury at a time; your dinosaur will not be immediately severely injured from one quest if they were healthy before. Injuries will continue to stack even after a dinosaur becomes impaired. This means it is possible for a dinosaur to have multiple injuries, that can turn into multiple stacks of impairments. It's highly recommended to avoid impairing your dinosaur unless you want them to be so, as they can only be healed with a Miracle Cure, which requires you to sacrifice a dinosaur egg to craft it!

Managing Injuries

1 - Receiving an injury
Whenever a quest is approved and rolled by a moderator, you'll receive a notification and you'll be able to view your loot at the bottom of the submission page! In this example, Strawberry has rolled no loot for example purposes but has received an injury as a 'reward'. This means that Strawberry has received an injury from this quest!

2 - Status bar
On Strawberry's page, we can see that her status bar has changed from the usual tick indicating she's healthy. It's now a broken bone to show she's injured! If we hover over the icon, we can see what type and severity of status the dinosaur has. Clicking the status here will bring you to the status' information page, where it will tell you about how it impacts your dinosaur.
3 - Status logs
We can view a full log of Strawberry's status effects from the respective button on the sidebar. The log lists all previous injuries and their source, as well as all healing items used.

4 - Select a healing item
Head over to your inventory and select the item you want to use. In this case, we are using a Bandage purchased from the shop; but we could use an Antidote from crafting instead if we wanted to.
5 - Select amount
Make sure to tick the specific item stack(s) you want to use, as well as the quantity if there are multiple in one stack. Only what you need, selecting more will still consume the items without any effect! If this happens, you can submit a claim to refund the extra items with a link to the dinosaur or their status log.

6 & 7 - Select your dinosaur
Select the dinosaur you wish to heal from the dropdown (6) and then click the use button (7)! When we return to Strawberry's page, she'll be back to being healthy with her injury icon replaced with the default tick for healthy.

Irradiation

Irradiation was discovered during the Doomsday Event and allowed dinosaurs to find Cryo Pods during the event; it currently can not be obtained and has no use. Irradiated dinos can still breed and quest normally without any negative side effects.

In the future, irradiation may have some breeding effects...
